Thanks for stepping in Cole and get feeling better Fitz. If we were voting for best walk-on I'd vote Jordy. We've had several great ones but he continued success to the next level.
what a crock of shit. im so sick of the portal, nil and now this? this world is so jacked up. im done with all professional sports, now the college scene is gong to hell. leave what works alone and stop basing everything in life on "how much money" can i make off it. rediculous
Feel better Fitz. Nice job Cole, believe you have earned a scholly from Fitz, haha. No doubt it is Jordy. My second one would be Ian Campbell. Growing up in Dodge City and knowing how small Cimarron, Kansas is and how he walked on and had the career he had is also impressive.
This is first year I have followed college football and the walk on nil confused me so much but u did amazing explaining this. I think u all have such an amazing program and praying for all the guys to find there spot it's kind of a doggy dog world we live in sad 😢
This is the bluebloods never letting a crisis going to waste. Eliminating walkons is not necessary. This is the bluebloods trying to thin all the next tier talent. Once Snyder and Beamer saw the future of the 85 limit, massed the next tier level talent and came with in an eyelash each of a title, the powers have been doing everything possible to spread the next tier talent too wide for anyone else to compete at that level. It is why they let so many teams into FBS. They know they will get their top talent either way. Need to make it harder on the rest
Nice explanation. I have to surmise that college football is becoming professional football. doh ~(_8^(I) Walk-ons are a quaint idea that involves amateurs and amateurs are being eliminated as the game goes pro. I remember when the Olympics fielded "amateurs". The Times They Are A-Changin'
Preferred walk-on’s aren’t the same thing as walk-on’s; preferred’s are scholarship players when there aren’t enough scholarships left… Walk-on’s like me are people that have no business being there but walk out of Vanier a changed man when their eligibility runs out! Jordy wasn’t a walk-on
What about Kade Warner getting on staff?

Jordy Nelson and Jon McGraw are probably my 2 favorite!
Same!
Feel better Fitz.

Cole, what is the NCAA's logic/reason for making this change to the number of scholarships and max roster number? Please explain. Thanks
I’m curious, too.

Very sad
Maybe they can add practice squad like the basketball teams have
Great job Cole!
