Rural Portugal - Would You Live Here?

No place is perfect. But some places come quite close.
The Portuguese countryside is simply breathtaking. If you like the sound of birds and fresh air and building something with your own hands, Portugal's countryside has what you need and delivers every time.
In this episode I visit the Candeeiros mountains and particularly, the quaint village of Arrimal. This whole area is made of several villages that belong to the Porto de Mos municipality area and fall within the Natural Park of the Aire and Candeeiros mountain range.
If you accidentally mistake this place for somewhere like England or Ireland, we will not fault you. Stone walls around pasture land and quaint stone houses alongside new construction and abandoned houses alike.
We hope you'll come and take a drive through here when you visit. Also, there are lovely homes for sale here, including old ones for renovation and rehabilitation.

At the moment, we live in Nazare which is an old fishing village on the sea surrounded by hills. It's lovely. But Summers are mad busy.
