If you live in a country where there is continual crime and daily danger. Rural Portugal seems like paradise. Who wants to live in countries that have wars and whose different cultures cause continual strive.

If you went a few more steps past the last shack/store you'd have seen the fonte da bica olive oil farm/processing family farm. They do tours and tastings and dining experiences.... a definitely must try.

Bombarral is a nice town, and not that far from many beautiful beaches. I'm from Canada (Toronto) but spent summers in Lourinha (Area Branca) and love the small towns and beaches around there.
