i find it incredible that I can say that to you from here in Nz, and you reply from your place..just like we have met in the street. Insane. Tech is sometimes quite the thing. Still love your output Charles, great to watch and see things done for sure. 👍
Hi Charlie, I purposefully watched this one again tonight despite a heavy heart as your love of Frank and Bert shines through so clearly. We lost our lovely Red Setter, Bo. today after 11 years of his company on my walks and painting trips -- and of him appearing as a dash of Burnt Sienna in my paintings :) Make the most of your boys.
Gail needs a tripod! Poor gir!l! But if I were she, I'd still have to watch. So beautiful. Heaven to watch. Must be such a satisfying thing to be able to do this. I will keep trying.
Hello Charles. Thank you for another wonderful painting. It’s great to see Frank and Bert in the picture. Wonderful camera work from Gail, as always. I love how she knows where you will be painting before you get there. It’s a great relationship you both have. Fantastic. Love to you, Gail and the dogs. - Dawn x
Thanks greatly Charles for your calmingly explained acrylic painting of landscape scene and of course your lovely dogs, enjoyable video inspiring us how you achieve amazing truely detailed picture. Greatly appreciating Charles stay safe and healthy
Definitely going to try this method of acrylic in the style of watercolour - really enjoy your painting and teaching style - plus love the graaarse and paaarrth for the southerners heheheheh
Thank you for your tutorials. I have ordered and received my book :Painting with Systems 3 Acrylics and already ordered another of your books. I really enjoy your painting process and already incorporated your techniques into my own work. Greetings from South Africa🙋🏻♂️
I paint with you, thank you for your paintings, they are very very amazing and thanks to you, I have learned a beautiful watercolor, drawing with the same brushes that you have. SPASIBO FROM RUSSIA.
Another excellent demo Charles. I really must try acrylics as a change from my watercolours. Cracking brushwork, and the 'camera person' works well, too. Best wishes to you both. Hwyl.
This Charles is a beautiful painting, the colours are so true, I love it. Have a good week at Hackness it’s a lovely place, I live not far from it and have walked in the grounds a few times
Stunning painting (as always) I really love all your demonstrations. I've said this before but unlike some artists, who just 'phone it in' when they do a demo, yours always look gallery quality and could easily be put in a nice frame and sold. Also, an advantage (that nobody hardly ever mentions although you pretty much did to be fair) of acrylics when used as a watercolour is that you don't get any runbacks or cauliflowers. Try it and see, you just don't get them with acrylics. For beginners who struggle with watercolours for that very reason, that is a massive plus.
That is simply amazing! I am trying to understand if painting would be my deal.... I am a physico- Chemist.....never interested in drawing, honestly.... But some time ago i discovered that painting brings me peace... Now, I see that I am starting to get my old attitude ...of a perfectiontist....and this is not what I wanted.... I need to lear to let go and be happy with the outcomes.....even if they really far from what I wanted them to be. Eh.
Sir, I have just enjoyed this presentation and subscribed to your channel. Interestingly, the thumbnail of the ‘mix’ videos is this very endeavor and appeared on the side of my screen. Full screen view was nixed so that I was able to compare your progression with the finished work. The pleasure was mine, thank you.
I know I will get hate mail for this, however you are the best and most enjoyable painter on TH-cam. Much better than Bob Ross ! In My opinion do you offer classes,if I would come from the USA ?
Ahahaha, you get hate mail for saying it’s a nice day these days mate!! Yes I do 5 day painting holidays, I have a friend come from Canada for them. Next year’s will be going on the website within the next month.
@@charlesevans7706 great I hope to get to come ! Totally enjoy you work. Also Gail is great love the banter between you guys. Her talent is appropriated on the camera, thanks for the pause on the drawing and final painting as to help us with keeping for reference 👍🏻🙏🏼
Charles i’ve always heard that most acrylics will lose their adherence if you add that much water to them. Obviously you’re not having any problem with that. Why is that?
i could be wron gbut ive learned thats it to do with chemistry of the paint. when you add water to the paint it adds more space between the particles of the binder (what holds the paint to the surface after its dried) and it can create issues with it staying on the surface. ive not had this issue and i dont rally know of anyone else who has but im thinking it might not be such an instant issue i think it would only make it a long term thing like your painting may not last as long. Im also thinking that since charles evans is painting on watercolor paper this may not be as big an issue because the paper is absorbant so it will soak the paint into the surface making the binder not as important as it would be on a non-porous surface. I may not be 100% on any of that though so its always good to do your own research
Its a dogs life...and welcome back Charlie. 👍. ‘Happy painting’’
It certainly is!

Lovely painting. For which projects would you choose acrylic on paper over watercolor?
Just for a greater strength of colour really.
Is it better to use watercolor paper with acrylics?
I prefer it.
