17:22 yeah it's me, I'm that one guy. Actually I just found Dave when he was on Stick of Joseph and then found his appearance on Mike Days and that one Webinar with Oak. I bought his books a few days after Stick of Joseph appearance and I have got to say his words definitely made an impact on my view of the Book of Mormon, and how I read scriptures in general. Between him and Margaret Barkers books I feel like I have a better understanding of the Old Testament, whereas before it was just some book from a long time ago. Much appreciated brother Butler

this D.J Butler guy is awesome. I went down a hinduism rabbit hole studying meditation and found all this temple info of the Ashera in the depth of my Being by way of Kriya meditation. I 100% agree with the temple endowment being everywhere. its portrayed in Avatar way of water, starwars, in every notable story every told. Its sacred story can be found everywhere under the sun. I know Lehi saw the Tree and I support him for leaving the Great & spacious building so we could know with a surety the fullness of HIs gospel.

I desperately want to direct a movie with this guy with Angel studios about these truths. A blend between Lehi's dream, the parable of the wedding banquet. Sorry I'm 12 yrs late.

Thanks Dave for the shout out for my cover art. I'm currently working on a series of paintings about the youth of the church living their everyday faith as they do what they love.

I’ve just discovered you Brother Butler! Exciting stuff. I’m not color blind like Brother M. Day so we gotta get you a different jacket.

I remember Nibley saying the Book of Mormon was full of temple references.

There is a ton of stuff, I started noticing the same thing albeit from a different origin. Started with Zechariah’s vision, then Lehi’s vision and it seemed like a temple procession and then I started looking at the Tabernacle and it seems to be pop up everywhere. I tested it by looking up key structure words like “The Way” and predicted that whatever proceeds after must teach a covenant path, Christ, truth, the Holy Ghost, the law, all attributes of the gospel of Jesus Christ and it did not disappoint. I am in the process of trying to share that with others. I haven’t seen this guys stuff a lot but it makes sense when I do hear it.

I have a really big question. So if the bible had been tampered with due to the dueteronmist reforms then how come in 1 Nephi 13:25 it says "these things go forth from the jews in purity. Making it sound like the bible is still pure but then in 13:26 it says the plan and precious things are taken out although it is unclear who "they" are. Most people take it to the gentiles take it out the precious things. But then 27 says the precious things were taken out and then given to the gentiles. But verse 25 says it went forth from the jews in purity. So i am very very confused. Please help.

My guess is that Deuteronomy wouldn't have been recognized as "the Bible" in Nephi's day (or more correctly, the Old Testament up through Isaiah.) This assumes Deuteronomy would post-date Isaiah. As such, by excluding Deuteronomy, Nephi's statement is correct.

How much evidence is there that the temple at Jerusalem, besides the Law of Moses offerings etc carried out by the Levitical priesthood, also had endowment sessions for a few who qualified? Is it not the claim that the Masonic ceremony started with the Jerusalem temple but then was corrupted over time?

I'd love to have Dave answer this, but my understanding with regards to "the Masonic ceremony started with the Jerusalem temple but then was corrupted over time" is that this is a masonic legend with no basis in fact. Freemasonry claimed that it went back to the days of Solomon, but freemasonry was invented in the middle ages. You might want to check out my interview with Cheryl Bruno. th-cam.com/video/ykx9xRBOx80/w-d-xo.html
Let me also add that I think no biblical or Jewish scholars would agree with the assertion that there was any sort of endowment ceremony in Jerusalem.

What he is describing is NOT the endowment as we would practice it

I wouldn’t expect the endowment 2000+ years ago to look like the endowment we have today. The endowment is always be changed/refined. From the outside looking in the endowment just 50 years ago is vastly different from the endowment today. That is why you really have to look and think about the doctrinal nature of the endowment. Doctrinally it is all across the scriptures.

The Lord has always taught. He even sent HIs Son to Restore. WE now have a living Prophet who adjusts as we go along. No its not from others, much like the Egypt info is from the Prophets and not the the other way round, My humble research and light, Just thought to share with great love in my heart for all comments .xx
