    Thank you for the demonstration. After the EM optimization, how can we make the original layout window reflect the new optimized changes of the 2nd layout window so that it can be exported to a gerber file?

    When I run the optimization on this example file, in ADS2015.01, it appears to be changing the layout_hpeesofsim file and running EM simulations, but the Optimization Cockpit does not update, and the hpeesofsim status window does not update after the first iteration, so nothing is really giving me any information on how the variables are changing and if the error is getting better or if it approaching an optimal solution. Does anyone else experience this? Has anyone run it in newer versions of ADS? Are you experiencing anything different?

      Hello Matthew,
      At the end of the video it is stated that you can download the project file and a Useful Document of valuable tips on how to make your whole EM optimization process fast and efficient. Not sure if you have already read it, but please take a look at this useful document; it has many useful tips. For example, first run circuit optimization to identify the sensitive components as you do not want to include insensitive components during EM optimization. Another tip is to use Discrete optimization with, for example, 20 um steps. You do not want to run EM with continuous optimization that might improve in .1 um EM optimization step.. It would take forever. Please read the document. It is full of good tips.

    I use the way in the video but it take too much time if the layout is complex.
