Flea Market Deland Fair grounds A Day in My Life

Wednesday's market in Deland.
It was hot day, 103 heat index. The fair grounds make a new rule. Which is not bad.. " If you pack it in, pack it out."
We come into the market at 4:30 in the morning to setup and no notice was given.
Needless to say we put out our trash.
The worker said that many venders will not be allowed to come back. I sure hope we are not one of the venders..
Changes are taking place in the market place. Markets are closing making way for new homes.
There are not many young venders. Not many young people come to the market. They don't know what they are missing.

I work with Miles in the Flea Market. This a very hard job. Setting up and breaking down your show of goods.
I think it is an interesting job, it is always changing. I meet amazing people.
My new adventure is building me a simple tiny new home.
At the moment I am cleaning the land and getting water to the land.
Moving to the land is a long time in coming.
I have to do as the money comes. I am low income but again this will stop me.
I am slow due to my age. This is a challenge, once again no stopping me.
I was a bartenter in my youth, a waitness in my college years, child daycare, high school teacher, a real estate broker, high risk auto insurance, filing and booking keeping.
After the age of 45 I moved to Dibble, Oklahoma with my new husband. Jobs were hard to find or too far away. So I started my own business with $200. And a cider block tank that Bob made for me
I opened a bait shop with a gallon of minnows and 6 #2 hooks. I added a pet shop, pond shop and gift shop, and Rabbits.
After Bob died the bait shop closed. I was lost for 6 years. Then my x- husband give me $1500 to open a Smoke Shop.
it was good money but too many bad people. I closed and moved to Florida to help my daughter. My best life time job is being a mom.
