  • In the latest episode of our animated mini-documentary series Lightbox, Skwigly meets Cartoon Saloon Creative Director and co-founder Tomm Moore.
Established in 1999, Cartoon Saloon has grown into one of Ireland's most respected studios, producing television shows, short films and full-length feature films including the hugely acclaimed "The Secret of Kells" (Dir. Tomm Moore/Nora Twomey, 2009) and "Song of the Sea" (Dir. Tomm Moore, 2014).
Following our recent interview on the production of his latest feature, Skwigly caught up with Tomm during the most recent edition of the KLIK! Amsterdam Animation Festival to reflect on the reception of "Song of the Sea" as well as his involvement in Roger Allers' recent animated adaptation of "Kahlil Gibran's The Prophet" (produced by Salma Hayek), for which he co-directed (with Ross Stewart) the segment "On Love".

I was unaware that Tom Moore was involved in the film Kahil Gibran's The Prophet. Now I have yet another beautifully animated film to enjoy. All thanks to this channel.

Great interview! Enjoyed the part where Tom was talking about having to avoid showing nudity in his section of the film.
