Two teams that should have made it to a SB in the 90’s

Miami's punter Reggie Roby . His punts had so much airtime , as soon as the ball was snapped you could eat a hotdog and drink a beer before the ball was caught by the punt returner

starting around 1:05:32 Marino lobbed that long pass so nicely , just dropped into Banks hands like a loaf of bread for td . reminds me of the best qb you never heard of 1980 nfl mvp Brian Sipe qb for the browns

Anyone know how long Houston qb Moon was out for this 1992 season ? You won't believe this but breaking an arm bone like Moon did, or breaking a leg bone , heals much better than tearing ligaments, cartilage and tendons of a joint like the knee or shoulder .

5 weeks. Warren still made the Pro Bowl that year.

This is unlike the Miami team that made the Super Bowl & lost in '84, but still had the same lineup.

If that netting wasn't there beyond the goal posts and just flat ground, no seats, there final field goal by Pete Stoyanovich probably would measure around 70 yards

around 2:01:38 - well , offensive lineman are also paid to protect their quarterbacks . sometimes they get away with holding sometimes they don't . OT Webb was also playing hurt . I've always thought its better to have a healthy second stringer playing than an injured first stringer playing .

Del Greco and the Houston kicking game lost crucial games in the 90s a total of 7 games that could have changed their fortunes Jack Pardee should have cut him

imho , the foul or penalty which comes first should be the only penalty in a play

If that happened, then every player would have free reign to do what ever they want to after an offsides. They could just grab the QB and slam him to the ground, etc.
      You haven't thought this through.

For Marino being "the greatest QB of all time," the Dolphins never won anything with him.
Great regular season QB, not so much against good defenses in the postseason.

Marino had no running game nor a defense. Marino was a bad boy

@@TheAnduwan18 You're right, of course. My comment was a bit more harsh than I intended.
He is one of the 10 best QB's of all time, but I can't give him the nod as the greatest when he never won the championship.
Winning the Big One is not the only factor in determining the GOAT, but it is significant. He's probably the greatest pure passer I ever saw, but I can't remember a single playoff game when he led a great comeback against a better team.
Montana and Elway and Staubach and Unitas did that many many times. I'll take them over Marino, for that very reason.
For the record, Dan was a truly great QB.
