  • I forgot to mention to replace the head bolts with brand new ones and use all the gaskets and o rings that comes with the head gasket set. I didn't have to use the valve guide seals because the engine didn't smoke or burn oil on the cold start. you should always keep an eye on your gauges especially the temperature gauge when operating your vehicle. Thanks for watching and stay Safe

    I'm pretty sure these 3vze engines are non interference. My belt broke and never hurt any valves.

      Definitely non interference

      There interference engines and yes won't hurt the valves unless you get it out of time.

      @@chadenglish6980 Chad not being rude, but theyre non interference. My timing belt broke and I didn't have one bent valve, or broke pistons.

    Mine just went. This car is older than me😂. I found out that it survived 282k miles on the original head gasket.

      I guess it was time for the head gasket to go. Good luck,🔧👍

    Doing well and thank you for asking! Just got back from a run from Death Valley and realized I got a blown head gasket. Well, at least she got me home! Got 32 yrs out of it and will be replacing it soon.

    Was told mine was done in 1998 but it's bad again at 155,000 Miles so the dealership said bring it in Friday the 25th and they will tell what they have planned then. I know it should not have went bad that fast again. I'm only the 3rd owner and the original owner bought it new off the dealership in 1993 been in the same state ever since. Beautiful truck and hoping the dealership does the Headgasket again

      I also have a 1994 I bought in 1999 and the previous owner had the head gaskets done right when it was called back. The truck has 356,000 now and it's still okay. The one in this video was not taking care of at all. Thanks for your comment and Thanks for watching!!!

    Be sure and change the nox sensor and the wiring harness, just below the plenum intake.

    I just did my head gasket. I had a cracked head on the driver side. I pulled a code 71 after putting it back together, fixed my egr hoses and then had a code 25&26. I think I have a bad injector but also read it could be the o2 sensor

    • @gravelyman
      @gravelyman  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Does the engine have a miss. If so you should fix that first than clear the codes and see if the light comes back on. I hope this helps you!
