    Great video! Thanks for sharing a behind-the-scene of your progress. Definitely going to try this out! Just out of curiosity: If the Framepad stuff is already imported into Framer, why not start designing straight in Framer instead of Figma? Maybe I'm not understanding the whole process, but it seems that you have to do all the design adjustments twice: once in Figma and then applying the same changes in Framer. Is there a specific time benefit to include Figma first?

      Exactly. Seems like doing the same thing twice when it is not needed to be done.

      it's the creative freedom of designing / quickly whipping things without the constraints of html/css. Though in this case i think the wireframe stage had high fidelity already that the creative direction was already set. Could've just went straight to framer, maybe jump to figma for some sections that needed more creativity.

    So would Framepad be like a Relume for Webflow?

  • @EthanHaveron
    @EthanHaveron 22 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

    so what do you do with all the left over elements in the projects? Do you just leave them there or do you copy your final design over to a brand new project so its only the design there and you just add the styles back in?

    Framer is putting so much money in advertisement.

    What about using Relume in Figma, designing in Figma and then going to Framer to publish to web?

      I finally dropped Figma in 2023. I sketch on my iPad and build in Framer.

      Not really, if you work out iterations with framer pretty quick, then you can eliminate figma. The only reason I use figma still is either for social media posts and to make icons, logos, etc.

      It's redundancy at this point. Designers should really start exploring other options. It'll be the next InVision

      @@Patrick-yc3tf InVision is a sad story. I feel like they were so close to developing something like Framer. I still have a copy of their sister design app, InVision Studio - that just never launched.

    Copy me instead. I started building my own Framer design system and components library about 4 months ago using all these paid libraries as a guide. I now have a growing repository of what I need to build my own style of websites. Soon I will open it up for sale. You can do the same.
    I also ditched Figma in 2023.

    So we are suppose to build the body of the car first then try to figure out how to shove the engine after. Seems it’s all about build first then think after. That’s why most fail because the first block is weak. The first block should be the content of the site. Once you have all that data then you start building the site around it. These tools are just a fancy why of saying, give me your money first then we talk.

    Ist thing is Figma to framer don't work properly ,
    2nd No need to go back to figma if they can generate the the design By AI in framer , or if they can edit their
    3 rd Framer is not as good as Webflow you can not extract coad , IDK how it works on SEO ,
    last things is Framer is improving on Prototype level but not on the Funcationslty level

    • @leviwanyoike
      @leviwanyoike 20 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      You’re half right.
      - Framer is loved by designers as it removes all complexity found on Webflow. I used the latter from 2016 - 2022.
      - Framer produces fully functional websites with clean code. Ask my clients or my bank account.
      - Webflow is far more powerful and suitable for complex projects. I outsource to pros when needed.
      - Because of Framer’s Figma-like approach especially the free flow infinite canvas, Figma is rapidly loosing its relevance. A lot of folk, like me, are now working directly in Framer. Why do double work?
      P.S. I’m an OG no-coder from days of Dreamweaver, Fireworks and Flash 👴. I deliberately chose to learn UX and brand strategy instead of code. 2 decades later my decision has held true.
