- The Mazda6 may not have the long history of the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry, however, it has been in the game for about 15 years now. The midsize sedan class remains very competitive, and we have five reasons to step outside the box and go with a 2017 Mazda6.
Confident Drive
Even though the Mazda6 has only one engine choice, it is very capable of dong it all. The engine delivers a confident drive in almost any driving situation. The power comes from a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder good for 184 horsepower and 185 lb-ft of torque. It really shines, however, through corners and turns. The Mazda6 brings fun and excitement to a midsize family sedan.
Fuel Saver
An efficient engine is important these days, especially with higher gas prices, and the Mazda6 is going to really save you at the pump. We are talking 35 miles per gallon on the highway with the automatic transmission. That number drops slightly to 34 mpg highway in manual transmission form. We do have to say, if you enjoy shifting, go for the stick because it does add fun to the drive.
Great Design
Take a good look at the design of the Mazda6. From head to toe, the design team worked hard to create a beauty. It starts up front with an aggressive, athletic grille. Move on to the rear, and there are standard LED combination taillights and dual chrome-tipped exhausts. The Grand Touring trim level even has LED foglights and a cool rear spoiler. Overall, it's one of the best-looking midsize sedans on the market.
Premium Features
Even a leather-wrapped steering wheel comes standard, but the Touring and Grand Touring trim levels get all sorts of premium touches. You can opt for an amazing 11-speaker Bose system with Surround Sound. You can also get the available Active Drive Display, which can even tell you the speed limit and keep you focused on the road in front of you.
Reassuring Safety
In base form, there are rear parking sensors and a rearview camera which are very helpful especially in tight spaces. But of course, the top trim levels give you a bit more safety, such as rear cross-traffic alert and blind spot monitoring. There are a number of other innovative safety features as well, but you should feel reassured knowing the Mazda6 earned a top 5-star overall government crash test rating.

When it debuted couple years, This was, and still is, the best looking mid-size sedan. Another thing is that this car is so under rated.
And they've refreshed the interior in 2016. Really nice.
I prefer the Optima, but the Mazda 6 is definitely a looker.
Just purchased one last week. Great car! 41mpg on the freeway@ 65-70 mph. Quality sedan, cant go wrong.

In Canada, just bought one this weekend, they give me a discount around 6000CAD, and 7 years 0 rate on a 2017 mazda 6 GT. Can not wait to pick it up tomorrow.
Zhou Anderson, same here...picked up a new 2019 GS on clearance with $6.2K off MSRP 2wks ago! Only had to pay cash for it but that was fine as I had the cash anyways...came out cheaper than a 3, Corolla, Civic, Elantra, Sentra & Forte! Great value...
Mazda is super
Had my 2017 for a year now and not looking back. Gets great fuel economy, that I often times ruin with excessive driving. Smooth shifting. My only complaint is power. I want more! It’s enough to get the job done but can hinder the driving experience now and again. Fortunately they’re addressing this in the newer models with turbo options.
Why would you show Mazda 3's gauges when mentioning the ADD? This is supposed to be the Mazda 6 review.

Inderjit Singh Driving with your family or doing shopping or going on holiday this is the perfect car. You got a big engine with more than enough horsepower. Not an tiny engine with weak materials. If i wanna have i fast car i would buy an Impreza WRX or an old Supra (if you wanna stay driving japanese)
I guess a v6 or a 4 cylinder with turbo would be nice.

Get the '18 model - 250 HP turbo-charged. That was easy... problem solved. :)
Car will be better if the rumor of the speed 6 is true.. V6 turbo AWD 300HP.
Cx9 is the better deal
midsize segment will go away. and we will be driving 12 seater ford vans. more space more bang for the buck.
