Wow that’s awesome! I still use it and recently caught some really good fish in it for my birthday this past weekend. Thanks for your support and I know you will enjoy this kayak!
Nice kayak man I'm digging the color. I'm out of Fort Worth and always looking for people to fish with in surrounding areas. Enjoy the new yak and tight lines!
Yes bro!! Enjoy! I love it too man! Imma start bringing it out more for videos. Been a little busy focusing on my photography. So happy for ya, it’s so stable!
Get you some 550 cord and secure the paddle to the yak. About 4 or 5 feet should give you enough length to paddle and if it falls off you can retrieve it without reaching for it. Love the video and stay safe out there. Oh get you a life jacket one of the CO2 ones would be best.
Good tips my good friend! I ended up getting a pfd, but not the one that inflates when submerged or with the pull. I thought it would be cost effective to get the one that doesnt require you to keep buying refill cartridges. I need that cord though! Lowe's? Home Depot?
Good video on the RS117 buddy! I actually put a $200 deposit down on my camo RS117(last one made before they discontinued the camo). I'm going to pick it up this Friday. Super stoked to put my Newport 36LB saltwater troll motor with a 12v 55ah battery. I'll end up doing a DIY motor mount on the rear with polyepolyethylene board. Then rig the foot pegs to steer the motor. I might also diy a smooth variable speed waterproof control box at my right arm side. Dude I'm excited like you rn. Can't wait ti island Hop here in the Tampa Bay area. So much camping and fishing to do around these islands!!!
Wow man you are going to be well outfitted ! That’s awesome that you put your deposit down and are building your dream kayak! That thing sounds sweet! Thanks for being excited with me and watching the video buddy!
That's about an 8ft garden stake that I've found in a Lowe's near me. It's usually in garden outdoor section of the store. The PVC is a pvc tee found in plumbing Hope you enjoy the yak! Excuse the late reply
Beo I only wish I had editing skills like you. Love the Yak bro it's dope. Continue to keep up with the positive attitude and great skills with the cam. Always glad to see a new vid from you bro.
@@MrStephanholoman Man! I love editing bro and I use a simple and free app on the iPhone called iMovie. Thanks for that compliment man, you can do it too! just takes a little bit of creativity and any app similar to imovie that let's you mess around with your cuts.
Thanks for the video bro. I went kayaking last month and I definitely see a fishing kayak in my future. I wasn’t familiar with this model, but after your review I plan to give it a serious look.
You are making very good decisions on your rigging. Looking at that space under the seat I would check to see if Home Depot has a toolbox that would fit that space. I’m looking forward to fishing with you some day. Get bent!
patches not too tough for me, but I’m open to trying longer. I honestly would’ve went longer if field & stream had a longer one but everyone had limited stock due to the new demand the quarantine created
Yes sir! That new demand wiped everything out. The biggest difference for me is not leaning over as much to get the paddle in the water and it lead to less fatigue through my fishing day! Great video and thanks for the reply!
patches truth! Haha and hey thanks for the comment, you got me shopping for longer paddles now. That totally makes sense to not lean. I have long arms and other limbs so a longer paddle would pair well with my frame 👍🏾
Love this overview. I am stuck deciding between this and the Crescent Lite Tackle as my first kayak. Will be using it for fishing here and there but also to take my 4 year old out on the water to hangout. How is speed/ control over the stability since that isn't a huge factor for me?
Bradley Krisch thanks a lot man!! I really like how this kayak tracks, it has a unique hull for the purpose of great tracking and stability. it’s not the lightest kayak out there but it doesn’t need to be because of its design for the control that you are looking for and also the stability that you are looking for. I can carry this kayak on my own and I am confident enough and it’s stability that if I had a child like you I wouldn’t mind or worry about them joining me. What advantages does the crescent one have?
The crescent has supposedly great tracking and some more speed. Only reason I would choose the RS117 over it is that it already has some built in features like cup holder, paddle holder, rod holders which all I would have to buy as yak attack mounts on the crescent.
Bradley Krisch That was my next point, the bonafide comes well-equipped and I’ve really appreciated those things while out on the water. If you are not going to load your kayak with a lot of stuff then, the speed will just be fine. I’m glad you brought up the features because that helped me make my decision on the RS 117. The chair is comfortable, the seating position is good, design turns heads, and they have cool colors
@@outdoorswithchuck174 Really appreciate the responses. I think I will end up getting this if I can find one somewhere not too far outside of Orlando. The Crescents I can get from a place in Tampa.
Bradley Krisch No worries, hope you end up with something that you really love. Yes sir I hope you find one or even go with the Crescent if that is what is best for you. It took me a long time to find and pre-order a bonafide
Let's get it
So happy to someone enjoying the rs117 like me
