I also have the Bonafide RS117. I typically use it on open lakes, and I've subjected it to some crazy boat wakes, etc. like what you'd come across on Holiday weekends. Hahaha. This yak can take it. No problems. Easy to paddle, not fast, but not a pig on the water either. Very comfortable to sit on for hours. Paddles easy and tracks decent. RS117 is a great choice. Mine is venom colored.

Yeah I’m a bigger guy I was 440 pounds back this past November, but I wanna diet and I went from 440 to 330 just within November 1 till now and I was talking to Chad Harvey and I know I’ve watched his videos on the bonafide he says as long as I don’t over weigh it down with bunch of tackle and stuff he said I should be just fine with the bonafide RS 117. Only thing I take out is a couple pose in a couple Plano that’s it yeah Chad Harvey said last night that the bona fide RS 117 should be plenty stable for me just for what I want to do. I got sick five years ago and had to give up kayaking because I got put on oxygen I put weight on, but now that I’ve lost almost 100 pounds since November, I can get out and do more things so I want to get back in the kayak and plus I’m getting ready to have a weight loss surgery. What state are you in?
Great review brother. Its nice having a couple of yaks in the fleet for various types of water and, as you said, an extra kayak so you can take someone along to introduce them to the sport. I've read a lot about the Bonafides and they seem like a great company that thought out a lot of little things in their designs.

Great details in this vid. Hopefully I'm going to demo this kayak next Saturday. If it's as good as everyone says it is I'm getting it. I'm in a perception pescador pro 10 and I wanted something more stable for standing. I'm just wondering if the weight difference will be really noticeable. 👍👊

Thanks for watching. It’s definitely a great stable Fishing platform. I would recommend it on rivers , lakes , ponds and I even take it in the intracoastal waterway as well for flounder and reds . Also it’s very light weight for rooftoping as well . Hope this helps
HooKSetz With Ryan this will be my first kayak. So do you plug all those holes in the kayak or do you just leave them unplugged? I’ll be using it for saltwater fishing around the mangrove trees and such. I need some advice on that. I appreciate you responding a lot of other people don’t when you have questions
JONATHAN de hoyos no need to cover the scuppers it’s a dry ride . I also use mine for inshore salt as well . But you can buy some aftermarket scupper plugs if you feel the need to . Hope this helps and tight lines
Sorry but 75lbs isn't light and most fishing yaks paddle like a barge. I have a rs117, it's very stable and fine floating down rivers but don't think about paddling up a slow flow river for a half mile to get to a good hole. Even the ex123 isn't great for paddling a decent ways. Sit in yaks like the Pungo120 or Feelfree Aventura will be much better if you want to travel just add your own rod holders.
