    Agreed. I own this car seat for my 17 month old baby and I’d LOVE the idea of a base for this car seat.

    Very amazing review! I installed mine after watching your video. Just got one for my 20 month old. Extremely convenient. The upward legs once he’s forward facing will definitely most likely be an argument, haha !

    I have this one and would like to mention if you are inside trying to switch from rear to forward or vise versa, you will be able to rotate it only a certain way as the top sides if the door is closed. If the door is closed it won’t allow you to rotate towards the door. Not sure if it makes sense but yeah. We have had this for a year and a half and looking at better options

    You did an amazing job on the review! I just installed mine following your instructions. Very informative and straight to the point. I didn’t like finding out about the 35 to 40 pound limit either. It would have been better if it was made to be a little stronger.

    • @destinationbabykids
      @destinationbabykids  ปีที่แล้ว

      I am glad this was useful for you! It is a bummer when the seats don't hold to 50 pounds rear facing but the trade off for what that one can do is pretty sweet :)

  • @CoachAdamYouhanna

    Is it normal for all that wiggle? The base is solid but so much wiggle of the actual carseat.
    I just installed mine, it's an extend.

    I am having a really tough time getting mine installed using the seat belt! If I leave the belt loose enough to latch the bar down, it moves more than an inch side to side. If I tighten it more, I can't push the bar down enough to get it to close. Not sure what I'm doing wrong as I haven't found anyone else with a similar issue.

    • @destinationbabykids
      @destinationbabykids  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      So I have not encountered this but that doesn't mean this issue itn't totally valid. If you haven't reached out to evenflo directly I would do that. Here is their contact information and they should have someone who can go over it with you. 1-800-233-5921. best of luck!

    • @brenda0423
      @brenda0423 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Some cars have the tether on top of like the back dash or however its called. It's a bit hidden. But it's usually marked where it's located.

    Is there a stroller that this fits into? Having trouble finding any info on that.

    • @rachelashworth7314
      @rachelashworth7314 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No and typically you will find that convertible car seats are not compatible with strollers (even if using universal adapters) which is why it might be a better idea to get a traveler system (car seat + stroller combo, they don't have to be the same brand; that's what adapters are for) for the first year at least. Our son has been in his traveler system car seat so far (he's almost two) but he'll still be in his rear-facing configuration for a while as he is still so small and we'll need the infant car seat for our next baby due in a few months. Therefore, we're switching to a convertible car seat now but I have NO expectations to take the seat out to attach to a stroller. TBH we haven't used this functionality of the traveler system since he started walking (around 1yo) so we just have left the car seat in the car pretty much permanently since then.

    • @smorgan4930

    It's bizarre that the height limit for rear facing is only 40 inch even with so much hip to head room. Do you think it's a typo on their part?
    While Nuna revv is 43 inch with a smaller hip to head room ?
    My baby is very tall with a tall torso, so trying to decide between Nuna and Evenflo, for max rear facing time

    • @destinationbabykids
      @destinationbabykids  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for stopping by. I don’t believe it’s a typo their instructions and specifications are usually vetted by multiple parties. Each manufacturer designs and tests with their own maximum weight & height limits

    Can you do latch and belt?

    • @destinationbabykids
      @destinationbabykids  ปีที่แล้ว

      Only if the car seat manual of your vehicle allows it and it is also explicitly stated in the car seat instruction manual that you can. This seat doesn't allow it. Additionally even if a car seat says it is ok the vehicle manual will also have to explicitly state that it is allowed as well. so for 99.9% of cases the answer will be no. This is a really good question tho and I appreciate you asking.

      The recline mechanism for it is on the back of the seat toward the top of the headrest. It reclines when it is in rear facing mode. The recline can be adjust after the seat is installed which is pretty cool.
