I've never had the post back out on me, but I was just looking at a different progressive press, about to be released, and one of their features is adjust primer seating depth. This to my knowledge has zero impact on pistol cartridges, but if you reload for precision rifle, such as F-Class, Bench-Rest, Silhouette, or PRS, then adjust primer seating depth can make a difference in ignition timing which makes a difference in group size downrange. Looks like my only option will be placing a shim on the post then screwing it in tight.
I have several 9mms that I loaded with proud primers. I took out the powder and bullet. So, the cases are resized with the primers in them. I can reseat the primers, BUT the case has been resized and will not case check. So my ? is, I hate to waste the primers and cases, is there a way to NOT ! push out the primer AND resize it in my XL750? Hope I explained that correctly.
@@williamjohnston5982 what I found out is that my seater plug had backed out causing the proud primers. Yhe answer to your question is yes, remove your decapping pin and resize same as before. Since you have removed the bullet & powder you should be okay seating the primer a bit further. There is an adjustment but the 650 vs 750 is a little different but similar. Hope that helps.
I caught it after about 10. It definitely felt as if the primer pocket was loose. Seemed like primers were very easy to seat, which is what prompted me to check. Thanks for watching bro
@@chicowize woo that's good. It pays to have a good eye. Well thanks for sharing the Blue PSA. I'll for go the I'm glad I'm a single stager. Oh well I guess I didn't for go it. 🤣😂
Have never had that happen on my 650 but will watch for it..
If the priming feels a little easy while seating them give it a look.
Nice tip Chico.. thanks!
Thank you. It didn't happen yet, but will remember this if it does.
Good to see you Chico, yeah like tinman says.
Good info for Dillon owners 👍🏻🇺🇸
Dillon precision lol. I got 2 650 and a 1050, some primer pockets are just tight AF and they won't seat all the wsy
I get the tight primer pockets from time to time with Winchester brass. They sometimes take a little extra effort to seat them

If mine are like that I usually just tap them in with a ball peen hammer. Hehehe. Good tip, Chico.
🤣😂
Hoping to get a dillon some day
Maybe that's what happened to Jan I'll have to double check the press
Thank You Sir! Will you be able to remove the bullet and powder safely? 👍🇺🇸 #22aday
Definitely pulled the Bullet and reclaimed the powder & seated the primer correctly.
@@chicowize That is good news. You were able to seat the primer safely! 👍🇺🇸 #22aday
