Wow I remember watching this show. This was my grandmas favorite show at Disneyland. We used to clap along when the theater would rotate.
and they still do up until it's final closing. (knowing the footage I watched), The clapping always made the transition songs sound better.
Let’s here it for Marc Davis!!!
Perhaps my favorite arrangement of “Stars and Stripes Forever”. Fantastic Load music.
It's incredible
I know right? And I’m not typically a big fan of those songs, but Disney manages to arrange them so well.
Happy 50th anniversary America Sings!!
4:00 I like how they added Dixieland in this oh boy if I was around today people would protest out side of this ride
It’s sad how true this comment is
Traveling South 3:15
Headin' West 7:14
To The Gay Nineties 11:11
To Modern Times 15:09
"Taa-ra-ra boom de ay" was used in The Aristocats (1970)
My Grammpa’s favorite song. My sister, brother and all of our cousins sung it at his funeral.
By 1988 when the attraction closed we were already into the age of progressive rock, hip hop and rap, and hair metal. And even into voicemail phones, computers and video games.
What is a voicemail phone ♑️💲
@@gracedevega7789 i think its just a phone with voicemail abilities
Im still waiting for i can see the A T T R A C T I O N comes out when a reboot comes
By the 90s we were introduced to the early form of ragtime and barbershop quartet. As well as bluegrass.

Blues and jazz would then pave the way to rock and roll thanks to Elvis. By the late 60s we had psychedelic rock and by 70s classic rock began making its appearance on records and radio FM airwaves. Then came the age of television and MTV.
I grew up in Southern California and went to Disneyland almost every year until I graduated high school. America Sings was one of my favorite attractions that I would go and see every time I went to the park. After it was closed, I could still see my favorite characters from that show at Splash Mountain and recall the great attraction they had come from. Now even that is a fading memory.
And yes as a rail preservationist and history buff the railroads helped establish time zones, faster and more efficient ways of travel.
Disney should bring this back for 2026!
Or this June, it's turning 50!
Sam Edwards also did Adult Thumper in Bambi (1942)
It's been 48 years since it opened today.

Pure awesomeness!
4:56 The Best part. Long live the swamp boys 🐸🐊🐊🐊🦝🐸
Fantastic audio tribute and concept art! I thoroughly enjoyed this one.
Happy 4th Of July! Spectacular! Everyone! 🇲🇾🎆🎇🧨✨
Thanks for an amazing video. I was the first to see it and happy 48 years of nostalgia.

cus the epilogue and the auld land syne were just
holy fucking shit those two together are really great
Almost at 1k brother 👏

Where’d you get the Hi quality version of Who shot a whole in my sombrero?
Disney Chris
Hello. I am not from America or England, I don’t understand everything on English, I am writing with the help of a translator. Can you tell me what's being sung at "Gay Nineties" 11:11? I really like the melody, but I don't understand the words.
I wish they add this to Walt Disney World
Sorry, but you may never get it. This attraction chewed up a person and spit her out. Paying for the loss of human life is really expensive.
My favorite part is auld lang syne part
Anyone have lyrics for I’ve Been Working on the Railroad? 8:09
Lyrics are I've been working on the railroad all the live long days I've been working on the railroad to pass the time away
why was this in tomorrowland?!?!?
Because they wanted to use the theater for this specific attraction. The sole reason was the carousel theater, plus no one thought it would survive long past the bicentennial.

19:19. Go. To. The. 1980. 90s. And. The. Present. Please
This was all the way up to the 70s, I'm afraid. and besides, it's for the best, considering how small the whole attraction is and how limited it is.
