Golfing shops are all over and they are EXPENSIVE so people will wear golf clothing often when out and about to show wealth in a way. So its quite likely golfing was added to develop the idea that Nook is a successful businessman

One day while looking around the internet for animal crossing stuff, I found a bunch of photos uploaded by someone on a meme website of Redd secret dialogue from wild world, the website wasn't specifically about memes, it had all sorts of stuff about gaming and art and other things, anyway in the photos it seemed to be a very secret piece of dialogue from wild world that Redd says, it starts with Redd talking about how he feels quite a pleasant surprise and and has seen you, the player, nearly everytime he sets up shop and thanks you, and decides to let you in on a little "trade secret" of his, he begins to talk about how he has an infamous reputation around these parts, he explains he has always felt more at ease when he's hated by everyone around him, and hate is strong emotion you feel when you see a person for who they really are, and a strong bond between people who incite hatred in each other, he says friends should be like that and whenever he comes to set up shot that everyone in town shoots him a dirty look, he aspires from their reactions of hatred which lets him know he's doing a good job, he says despite everyone's hate no show as much of dislike for him as the raccoon in an apron, then revealing it is tom nook, he says he and tom go way back when they came to the city trying to climb their way up the "business ladder", he then goes on to say such good times back then, and he looks back on them so fondly, and to think even after all this time, and even after the "incident" (sadly Redd doesn't touch further on this "incident") tom still sees him as friend, and just perhaps one day when he (Redd) is not operating on his business adventures he should stop by and pay Tom a visit to catch up, he then says he thinks that's enough of a story for one day, he then closes saying "Just remember to always know who your real friends are" I tried to see if I could find anything else online relating to the photos but I couldn't find anything, I looked through all photos and compared then to each other and other photos containing wild world dialogue to try and figure out if the photos were edited, but as far as I can tell the photos seem very real, I would like to know if anyone who has actually played wild world (I've only played new horizons) has run into this dialogue or something similar from Redd, sorry this comment was so long, I thought the photos I found were worth mentioning

I feel like there's too few character secrets in this game, the character lack ANY depth. Ben chose the best details possible about them, and none of them are that interesting. I want to be clear that Ben is not being lazy here, it's the devs that are lazy in terms of character detail. That doesn't make the game bad, I still love it, so i'm not hating.
I really wish they made many different islands where old characters would appear with their own houses or tents. Example: Joan could have a ranch themed island where she is growing turnips and stuff like that or Tortimer with a city themed island and we could play mini games like tortimer island, etc. There we could interact with them, the island and buy special items from them.

I gotta say of my favorite lesser known pieces of ‘character info’ is that “unused” characters such as Gracie, Joan, Harriet, etc can be attempted to be spawned into photopia, and doing so will give you an exclusive poster of them. It isn’t really related to a single character but I just found it to be very interesting! I recently found out.
When you said it would be nice to see all able sisters together again I got the idea that it could be cool if we got a fashion show type of event in the future. It could be organised by Label. Maybe you could dress up your villagers to go with a certain theme and put on your own little fashion show. That would also be a nice way to bring gracie back since they could rate your looks!
When I heard about Harvey has a relationship with Harriet, I was surprised for some reasons far beyond me. Also, during August Sundays, I kinda assume Tom Nook having to run the Resident Services alone while Isabelle is outside with Redd who comes by to sell items for the occasion. Well I could pretty much assume for Tom Nook's obsession for golf might lead to a spin-off called Animal Crossing: Nook Golf or something close to the matter.
More context about the incident with redd and Tom nook; Within animal crossing lore, it’s said that the incident occurred when Nook was first starting out in business, Redd offered to be a business partner of sorts, and because Nook was just starting out and naive, he accepted. Redd talked this product up big saying that they were gonna make a lot of money from it for a long time, but in the end Redd just stole all of the money Tom nook had made, and Nook was left without bells and very depressed. He eventually recovered both his financial and mental state, but obviously he still harbors a large grudge against Redd, and for good reason.
Here is a interesting thing about KK Slider: If you stay outside when KK finishes his performance at 12am or later he dose not sing but instead he will sit there until you either go inside a building or close the game. Which at that point he will stay leave the island for the week. Also if you leave the game running between 12am to 4:59am he will stay in the plaza until the game restarts for the next day.
New Horizons is my first AC game, and it's quickly becoming among my top 10 game series of all time. The stuff about the hedgehog sisters is especially cool. I never would have expected that level of detail/care in a game like this.
It’s not much, but I spotted something when Label was on my island. When she has her cute little sketchbook out, I manage to raise my camera up and see what was on it. It was a little sketch! But it wasn’t like a specific animal. It was like a human, like our own character! :0
Actually, if you look closely at the Able sisters’ pictures, the picture under the parents’ on the right is a picture of their mom pregnant with Mabel 😁 you can see Sable and Label hugging their mom’s round tummy. I thought that was such a cute detail 😌
Today I was villager hunting for my dreamy Maple and I was like 15 tickets in when I took a break and my sister was playing she had a ticket so she went to an island and the first one she found was MAPLE!! This always happens to my sister she has such good luck!! 😂
Didnt city folk explain Tom's mistrust of foxes aswell as his backstory and the ables? That when he was in the city a swindler conned him out of his money and he had to move back home? Maybe I'm getting it wrong? I need to replay city folk

Wouldn't it be great if Tom Nook started a golf mini game in New Horizons? Or if he has his own golf shop where you get to buy all sorts of golf gear and use it for the golf games. (On other islands that he probably has set up)
I also wish that there was a little more resolution between Sable and Tom Nook in the games. They used to be best friends as kids and then grew apart after Tom moved back from the city. They talk about each other in game dialogue now and then but not in NH to my knowledge... I still feel kind of unsatisfied with how they haven’t seemed to have fully mended their relationship. I hope later on the game fleshes out the NPCs a little more or at least gives us some more hints at what’s going on in their lives like some of these examples.

Nh was when I began to love her though. I love how she's no longer an assistant. Now she's on her own and has made her own clothing line. I have all of the labelle clothes, hats, and shoes because they're cute and I want to make label happy.

Also something that wasn’t spoken about is that in the bottom right picture in the clothing store has the three hedgehogs wearing the colors red, green, and blue. Right next to it is jars of buttons that have the colors in the same order red, green, and blue.
I think a nice little detail would be, when the auto save starts. A little resetti jumps out and mines something or even don resetti in several occasions.
Radom side note, if you visit a friend and go afk long enough for your console to go to sleep you do get a resseti pop up notification of loss of connection

4:17 redd does actually get a somewhat legitimate job on your island during the August firework event. He has a raffle in the plaza, which I doubt would be allowed by Tom nook unless it was a special occasion
I saw Mr. Resetti and Don at Brewster’s cafe. It’s really cute and it’s also the other times where i met up with a random important character in Brewster’s cafe.
Struck me as odd that you called label as both by her name and by her label depending on the portion of the video you were in Also redd already has been on the island proper selling you stuff, during the fireworks festival, with his raffles and such.
The ascot tied to Labelle/Labels bag reminds me on Gracie's signature pattern as well! I didn't notice that until I was staring at her for that part of the video haha.
Not a lot of people know this, but Resetti does actually make the physical appearance in the game. If you play a pirated copy of ACNH at the airport at the start of the game an alarm will go off and Resetti will take you to prison. You can look this up happening on TH-cam.

I struck luck my first time (or second? I can’t remember) buying from redd. The first three times I bought from him, no knowledge at all, I got real paintings, which was really helpful because at the time, I needed the get the art place in the museum and I really wanted Brewster. Nh was when I began to love her though. I love how she's no longer an assistant. Now she's on her own and has made her own clothing line. I have all of the labelle clothes, hats, and shoes because they're cute and I want to make label happy.

The kid that runs the fishing tournaments and buys fish from you mentions that his partner makes bug models. It doesn't specify in what way they're partners, but it could indicate a romantic connection between himself and the dragon guy who hosts the bug catching tournaments and also visits your island from time to time.
I agree that tom nook liking golf makes him like a dad. He comes off as an older dad though. Like one in his 40's or 50's.

Resetti actually does make a physical appearance. When i tried out the rescue, he was in my cafe a few days later :D He doesn't have much dialogue tho

The rescue moles can be found in game now-I’ve run into them a few times in the cafe .

Also something that wasn’t spoken about is that in the bottom right picture in the clothing store has the three hedgehogs wearing the colors red, green, and blue. Right next to it is jars of buttons that have the colors in the same order red, green, and blue.
I think a nice little detail would be, when the auto save starts. A little resetti jumps out and mines something or even don resetti in several occasions.
Radom side note, if you visit a friend and go afk long enough for your console to go to sleep you do get a resseti pop up notification of loss of connection
That also happens if you manually turn the system off or if you close the game

I saw Mr. Resetti and Don at Brewster’s cafe. It’s really cute and it’s also the other times where i met up with a random important character in Brewster’s cafe.
Struck me as odd that you called label as both by her name and by her label depending on the portion of the video you were in

Not a lot of people know this, but Resetti does actually make the physical appearance in the game. If you play a pirated copy of ACNH at the airport at the start of the game an alarm will go off and Resetti will take you to prison. You can look this up happening on TH-cam.

I struck luck my first time (or second? I can’t remember) buying from redd. The first three times I bought from him, no knowledge at all, I got real paintings, which was really helpful because at the time, I needed the get the art place in the museum and I really wanted Brewster. It wasn’t that hard after that.
