Superman's explanation of how he beat up the bully so quickly, after getting thrashed earlier by said bully, was iconic "Oh I've been...uh...working out."
3:34 The blasts from Scott's eyes aren't lasers (common misconception), his eyes are windows to another dimension made of pure kinetic energy. That's why they tear things up and not so much burn them.
Fun Fact: Part of that fight between Peter Parker and the bully was parodied in the new Deadpool movie. When Wolverine and Deadpool fought, Deadpool dodged his punches in the same pattern.
Maybe his laser vision had a ramp up for this scene. This makes sense, as it seems that Cyclops wants to verbally roast his villains rather than literally roast them. He also was just discovering his powers, and was likely to be gently exploring his newfound powers.
Scotts first manifestation of his eye beams wasn't at full power right away. The beam doesn't go all the way through the building until he gets to the roof. If you slow down the scene you see the damage his eye blasts do gets more powerfull as he goes up the wall. therefore the door withstanding it makes sense since it was at the begining .
You know what's crazy? Kostner made too much sense as Jonathon Kent. I loved that movie immensely for that casting choice alone, because of all the movies I've seen him in, he always put off this aura of "the good father" in his performances. Not "the perfect dad," because his characters were most often men who aimed to carve a path for the future, and that's what I usually think of when someone says "father."
So, what people do not understand about Cyclops eyes are that the beams are lasers as they do not burn things. They were originally meant to be like a force beam, just like Iron Man's "repulser rays."
You’re the first who has commented on Eric/Magneto’s power over metal. With a nickname like “Magneto”, I presumed he could only exert control over metallic objects when there was a magnetic force associated with the metal. But, throughout the movie series this was never explicitly explained but the viewer was served up with the insinuation that he controlled all types of metal. For example - bullets. Most all bullets (the projectile which is the tip and travels down the barrel and exits toward the target) are made from lead and some degree of copper. In fact many nowadays are made with a copper jacket and even more modern bullets are made entirely of copper. All that to make the point that neither lead nor copper are magnetic yet Eric controls them with ease.
I actually dislike this explanation of Magneto's power, because it contradicts a line of his that i prefer, something like: "didn't Charles ever teach you that Electricity and Magnetism are related?" Guess it boils down to whether we want Magneto to be able to control all metals, or to be able to manipulate electromagnetic forces. If you know you know, "a certain scientific railgun".
I appreciate most that they were true to the comics, that Cyclops does not fire lasers, he fires kinetic energy, his eye beam(s) push, they don’t burn or cut. When Cyclops lets loose in the bathroom stall, the stall door is pushed into the kid, and both are pushed into the wall.
That is a really good question. Why would anyone mess with a person dressed like a clown and maniacally laughing in an empty car. That just sounds like horror movie written all over it.
Is the second visit to the Diner in Superman 2 here ? and for that matter "reversing the polarity" on the power transfer machine to "De power" Zod and company before dropping him into the Chasm !!
He always believed that he is Clark first then Superman. He is by far and always shall be the greatest. This man never used his full strength even when he is literally stronger than the strongest gods speaks a lot.
I watched X-Men First Class when it came out, then rewatched it before Deadpool And Wolverine came out. And that opening scene with Erik was WAY darker than I remember.
the roof that scott hit was not Concrete, it was Plaster. Plaster Plates with Airholes in them to better circulate air. the stall door was metal, and was JUTS strong enough for Scott's laserbeam not to melt straight through it. that is especially the case seeing as Scott's laser eyes JUST came to be activated, so when it hit the door, it was not even CLOSE to being at full power.
I am probably the only one with this particular opinion, but I think Superman‘s revenge on the bully was the worst way he could’ve done it. Not only is he now guilty of property destruction (and that being willful), but the bully also is probably not aware that he’s the one that did it, so the revenge isn’t as sweet as it could be. Taking care of a bully in most of these clips depicts individuals making the bully realize that picking on their victim is not a good idea. The bully in this scene doesn’t really get that idea. He just knows “Oh stink, my truck is destroyed!” There’s no reason for him to assume that the two events go hand-in-hand.
While I get your point, sometimes you don't want the bully to "learn anything", andjust want to make him suffer. I agree that your way is better is the bully associates the sin with the penance.
I'm not saying bullying doesn't happen but i was born and raised in a small town in the midwest, went to a school where my class from K-12 was never more than 45 people. We didn't have bullies, everyone was either friends or they wasn't but even if you weren't friends with someone, chances are my dad was friends with their dad or something like that so i just never seen or was apart of any sort of bullying growing up. In my 40's this town is a peaceful as it's ever been and the youngsters running around are all my friends kids, it's kinda like everyone watches out for everyone. Lucas Ohio Richland County, look it up, it's as ideal as i claim.
Lols I'd love to see what you're neighbors have in their closets. N I bet ya some of their hard drives on their computers would make you puke. You think you see what goes on? Not putting you down but it's been my experience that probably 80% of the time the squeaky clean have the darkest of secrets
The door did NOT withstand his eye juice beams. You can see it is blown away and nearly bent double. The wall and ceiling were destroyed because they didn't get flung away by the eye juice beams. @3:48
If I was that guy in Man of Steel, I would have immediately been delivering a verbal 12 paragraph apology to that waitress while walking backwards out the door all the way to the truck I'm leaving the $10 tip while not paying for my meal
I was always remarking to my friends about how batman never kills but apparently fine if the criminal(s) gets a TBI or suddenly need therapy for the rest of his life after
In response to all the people who keep commenting that you don't have to make the bully know who you are in order for justice to be done, I would say that the biggest factor in revenge is time. Superman perpetrated the man's truck I would guess about 30 minutes to an hour before he finally noticed it. What reason does the man have to assume that his truck being desecrated like that has something to do with him being mean to a waitress and pouring beer on a man's head? Virtually none. Now, if Clark had walked outside and done that in such a way that the man heard the crash just after sitting back down to the table, maybe. But then he would have also known the Clark Kent is Superman because no one else would be able to do that after walking outside the room
no offense but you should do less talking and more showing the scene instead of talking for whole 5 mins for a scene thatll take less than a minute. it gets really overwhelming, personal opinions only.
@@MannyCrockerI watched it on mute was better than listening to that thing he calls a voice but still pretty terrible. Finding this video made me mad 😭

You know.. there is this movie that I'm looking for a long time - where there is this hero where telekinesis powers, and uses it to force one bully to... 'go down' to the other bully at one scene. does anyone knows the movie?
Alot of people being bullied punk out without ever even trying to stand up. Then every other person that wants to bully will do to u. Its true when they say most time a bully will fold. Just the violence alone will freeze up most people these days. Especially the 1s that weren't allowed to fist fight things out in school or growing up. Those coddled peop!e are super soft usually
Not only was the coin silver but then he goes on to control BULLETS which have NO magnetic properties at all unless they're armor piercing with a Steel core because normal bullets are copper and lead with maybe some zinc or babet to harden the lead, So NOPE

Age doesnt matter but inlike movies i cant lay hands on kids. I have learned they art of factually stating in the most emotionless voice exactly what a child is doing wrong and always just loud enough for everyone to hear. I have had parents laugh and thank me for how calm behaved and slightly terrified children become never had a single adult tell me what i did was wrong because i just state facts calmly
I dislike both of the Flash Thompson scenes. As I remember the comic books 1) Flash was never THAT bad, 2) Peter Parker never showed him up with his powers. Also, is the Joker really a superHERO?
Umm, Brian/Brightburn isn't a hero. He's literally the villain of the movie. Answering the question of what if Superman had been evil rather than good. And Joker? What a weird definition of superheroes.

3:34 The blasts from Scott's eyes aren't lasers (common misconception), his eyes are windows to another dimension made of pure kinetic energy. That's why they tear things up and not so much burn them.
Yep, the little amount of burning that does happen is from friction
those eye lasers must suck ,if they can't even destroy an average highschool restroom stall door...
Loki was a bully and the Hulk served him brutally.
Dude seriously Hanock was the most badass bully scene.

"Rocky Raccoon" ???? Come on, man! It's Rocket Raccoon! 😂😂😂
The part where Mr. Kent sacrifices himself to keep Clark's secret during the storm is intense.
Bullies hated it when i kept getting up no matter how harsh a beating I got.
I think what was missed was the bully scene in Alita - "Battle Angel"
Absolutely! That scene was awesome
It's not a superhero movie, but yeah. It had a good scene.

All metals are magnetic. Others just have much weaker interaction. Look up paramagnetism and diamagnetism.
Except for the tree, but enough kinetic energy over time creates heat, so excusable kinda

First Venom ending with the Protection collector in the Convenience Store ?
Some of the bandits trying to beat up Zatoichi are pretty inept and funny
Rutger Hauer beating up bad guys in Blind Fury (effectively an American remake of Zatoichi with a "Belgian"? Blind swordsman)
