One thing that really draws me to this is the fact that, not only is Jackson an incredible artist/performer/singer/producer/lyricist, he's an incredible storyteller. The directing of his MVs so far and how the story within them is told is always amazing, and this one is no different. The vocals and song are beautiful while the visuals are tragic and that contrast (and the way the story was done backwards with the big reveal) is just so smart to me. This man inspires me so much as a storyteller.
IDK why but the "ending" of the story - which is the beginning of the video gets me. He completely did a 180. He was living a carefree, a little reckless life before - clubbing, drinking, etc with his gf and at the end, he was pretty much dead inside and reformed his identity into a 9 to 5 guy. That was pretty sad. The pain he was hiding.
Jackson is a true KING! There really is nothing he can't do. He is such a story teller, and his vocals on this is through the roof - him hitting those high notes made me speachless! The emotions he portrays is just so powerful, both in his acting and his voice. And as you said, even in the small amount of choreo we get, he doesn't break charector, and he dances with that exact same emotion! Wow, just WOW!
i love how jackson's mvs lately have all told a story, and how easy it is to feel invested in them. i always look forward to his new releases for that reason because i know for sure that i'm going to enjoy it. the man is incredibly talented. he can sing, dance, and act. i'm waiting and hoping for the day he gets an acting gig because i know he'll kill it
Yes the plot twist of the MV blew up minds. It actually makes you think. It hits harder when you watch the MV a second time, because everything falls in place. I love MV that triggers emotions. Instead of showing pretty scenes and booty like most modern MVs

Jackson one of the most talented men out there, at 2nd go round, that beginning makes more sense. Jackson handsome but with a tentative smile, he is trying to get on with his life despite the memories of that accident. Might also be saying even though one has an ordinary office job, one might have an extraordinary story to tell.

What I think the most amazing and precious point of Jackson is that a lot of chinese members in k-group just dump all their international influences when they back to china. But jackson is still connecting to his international relations and fans even he's back to china. This guy is smart, he knows how well global cooperation works , and with his good personality and fervent passion to his music, also makes a lot of talents would like to collab with him.

Since you mentioned you like rap, please also check out EZ MIL as he is a versatile artist just like Jackson who can sing in multiple genres in multiple genres in at least 5 languages… hip hop, rap, EDM/dance, rock, alternative rock, death metal… he is a lyrical genius.. who produces his own beats, writes/edits own music videos & visual effects, can play multiple instruments, and also has his own label… other reactors have compared his music vibes with Eminem, Usher, Chris Brown, Aerosmith, Justin Bieber and Justin Timberlake…

Just that one lyric sound somewhat similar "Who's gonna drive you home" but the entire song is totally different arrangement and vibe

The Cars' Drive is about either a failing relationship or someone confronting an alcoholic ("who's going to tell you when things aren't so great" and "you can't go on thinking nothing's wrong"), whereas Jackson is saying I fell in love with you and I can't leave you, so who's going to drive you home if it isn't me?
