    If you bring home, a tiny bit of your wealth, you'll be changing your origin in a positive way, little by little. If you bring a job back home to your origin, you'll be creating job opportunities for your people. If you employ one person, you'd've fed at least three people, because that one person will go home and feed his or her parents from what he/she has been paid at the job! What a wise and very touching comment from you Bob Manuel Udokwu! May God give us ears to hear & hearken & implement n'Aha JESUS AMEN!!!

    Good talk on the surface (But those are emotional talking points).... what BMU is prescribing is already what Igbo indigenes across the world are already doing.. Whether it is erecting a building in their village first and foremost or being their brothers keepers.. by bringing their families to learn a trade under them and assisting in setting them up after "freedom...". we can go on and on!... We should stop engaging in emotional talking points that sounds good just because you want to appear intelligent. Let us confront the real problem in Nigeria which is that of INEQUITY, UNFAIRNESS and STAGNANT DEVELOPMENT, brought on us by a system of government that does not encourage entrepreneurship and innovation.....shikena!

    • @chidisuccess8268
      @chidisuccess8268 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      But if we all are doing what BMU has just said, why then are the so-called enemies of Igbo progress succeeding in surpressing us? It shows that there's still something lacking. We are our own solutions, which should start by accepting one another. Even if we expect them to do anything different than all what they've done to us already, I believe we'll be wasting our time. They already know our weakpoint - lack of love for one another & lack of ability to carry each other along BECAUSE OF LOVE FOR WEALTH, MONEY, & GAIN. A house divided against itself cannot stand. And that's what BMU is stressing. If we address that loophole & love our brothers over money & popularity, etc., they'll see we're getting bonded & united by the day. And it'll be hard to penetrate. It is really that simple. Peace & Grace unto us all at the end of the day!

      I'll attempt to translate what he was saying, which were delivered mostly in idioms and proverbs. He was addressing the sons and daughters of Igbo land (Eastern part of Nigeria) . He advised them to invest a small percentage of their earnings in their homeland. He admonished them to desist from the ostentatious life style which they exhibit in other parts of Nigeria. He pointed out the ways other non Igbos live in Igbo land. Specifically, by not leaving any appreciable development in the region. This contrasts with the way the Igbos live in other parts of Nigerian, and by extension all over the world. He made a special reference to the Biafra war, by emphasizing the huge losses suffered by the people. Particularly, the Igbos fleeing other regions of Nigeria. He made a special mention of the daughters of Igbo land who have taken it upon themselves to organize the annual August convention known as the "August Meeting ". This annual event mandates the women of Igbo land to return to their villages and towns to organize various conferences and enterprises with their significant others to benefit their homeland.
      He closed with a very strong emphasis on "Charity begins at home " by cautioning the Igbos not to act out a great show of opulence in the cities of Nigeria and abroad, while leaving their homeland without the basic necessities of life. FOLA SE, I hope this helps you out.

      FOLA SE He's advising the Igbos to think about home, igboland. Charity begins at home. Invest in Igboland as well. Abum (I am) onye (from) delta.
