My suggestion: Civil engineering is not like other branches it's business branch So make a 3-4 friends start civil engineering business before starting business in this 4 years btech u all friends get knowledge in particular field.then come out start business business like building construction, interior design,plans etc...

If u ask for 2024 then isro conduct it's own ICRB otherwise through GATE u can apply in different centers followed by interview. In their time it was interviews or through institutes or recommendations.
Ideally the Requirement depends on which Project is ISRO planning to work on in the future. But I'm just an HR Management sudent so I can't comment much upon that😅

For sure, but EE is specialized in power generation and distribution only. Most of the EE people of India lack programming and signals/data processing/transmission skills. Electronics includes in depth understanding analog and digital systems, microprocessors and embedded systems, etc. and antennas and RF as well, etc. EE syllabus is designed to fulfill the energy requirement of high population and industry, whereas for space applications, EC people are better choice.
True but the country education system made it look like EEE is for power systems and ECE is for communication systems. That's how the syllabus was designed to be. Only in India we see this kind of nonsense. In foreign countries and even in top 5 IITs (except IIT Kharagpur), you see only EE, not EEE or ECE separately. I feel one department is sufficient for better exposure to a wider area, rather than having postgraduate subjects in UG which is redundant
yes, actually EEs can apply for ISRO through electronics,, but many of them are not aware, it seems. And if you're good at electric circuits & networks, electromagnetics, and maths, you can excel in any subdiscipline of EE and its field of applications.
Why isro exam insists on 65% minimum marks. It's natural to get bored during college. But it is not right to deny the opportunity to those who are like that. Those with the most heads will not belong to the 65%. It is requested to increase the age limit. In the competetiv exam, they should not be selected based on their marks. 65% is painful for me. I have confidence to crack isro engineer post. Let's change such decisions in the future.
Focus on your study. You will get an edge over other students (who are not from IIT). And in IIT you can even see the ISRO chairman from very close and you can talk with him, if he comes. Usually , IIT invites ISRO's chairman/Scientists during convocation/institute lectures/Tech fest. One month ago, Sir somanath visited the IIT kgp Aerospace department(Even Liquid propulsion lab of ISRO's director is from IIT kgp(Aerospace engineering & Cryogenic Engineering) . And there are many ISRO funded projects going on in IIT.
Without electrical nothing really happens,but in space industry,electrical isn't valued more than civil and mech ,every field has a role in ISRO but aerospace and core engineering background is valued more

One month ago, Sir somanath visited the IIT kgp Aerospace department(Even Liquid propulsion lab of ISRO's director is from IIT kgp(Aerospace engineering & Cryogenic Engineering) . And there are many ISRO funded projects going on in IIT.

Electrical engineer or mechanical engineer or civil engineer or whatever engineer you can recruit but pls consider science students also. In ISRO, pls recruit Msc students, we develop science ideas so M.tech will design,and engineering will build that.
Guys by watching this vedio u will feel that it is very easy to get into isro it's very tough.also the vacancy are very less. Civil engineering has less scope compared to CS. Study coading and get a nice and rewarding career, do not take civil and fall for gov jobs. Only smart guys crack exam.
