No one said about BMP or tank like sir, people were frustrated because of lack of proper bullet proof vehicles for the army, which is a shame for a country like India
I completely agree with Col Raina that Jammu province has not been paid attention till now and it really annoys me (having lived there most of my life, I have witnessed the discrimination firsthand). Jammu has some really stunning places like Bardarwah, Rajouri,Poonch , Kishtwar etc and had it been developed for tourism, would have been as famous as Kashmir valley (and safer!) but politicians never let that happen. It was a ploy to keep Jammu poor and underdeveloped. Ladakh was treated the worst but now look at it, it’s flourishing..! The whole of Jammu province deserves better, I hope government is listening. Till now, I’m not very impressed with the work being done there.

The border areas in valley are somehow positive towards BJP particularly in areas where communities like gujars, bakarwalad. Somehow things are changing. There is improvement in areas like Gurez, tulal, teetwal etc.
if the mughal road is so critical, time saver, y proper connectivity not prioritised, this mishap shd give impetus.
I never understood this soft approach and many times later they say that did not work. Apply same rules every where once 370 cancelled. Also Kashmir pundits should get special status and life long incentives in Kashmir till population is restored as they were terrorized and driven out. Political people have no intension and opposition is quick to implement such things.
See the mindset of some local Kashmiri Muslims, they were really unhappy with the festivities of NYE in Lal Chowk as music and dance is forbidden in Islam! I saw hundreds of comments criticising it and saying that it was mostly non locals who were enjoying it and that people/children should pray instead! No matter what government does, it’ll be very hard to change their extremist mindsets.
