Not using Herbert makes complete sense. 26 year old running backs won’t ever bring a huge return, but not playing him saves his body while trying to trade him and Swift / Roschon is exactly what we need to keep deploying.

I think the depth and security out weighs the trade value of a 5th or 6th round pick for Herbert. Even if it’s only for one year. Maybe if we were in tank mode sure let him go. If Swift or Johnson go down we’re gonna miss him deeply.

don't want to lose Herbert, cant believe poles ego "didn't draft him" is gonna let him go so easy. Bears will need him when Swift misses late games with injury. Herbert should be getting Johnson carries. he rarely gets tackled with first contact. Don't get why Montgomery and Herbert weren't considered better than our current duo. I dont dislike either player but we were just fine at running back. Need to put premium on offensive linemen and edge rusher
