I really dont think the goal is to get picked up by a network. I'm sure if they were offered a ton of money they'd do it but I really dont think that's what they're aiming for.
Why would he ever want to work for a network when he does this and his stand up and owns all of his own material and sketches??? The comedy world is vastly and quickly changing for the better where the comic is finally understanding that doing sketches, releasing their specials on their own, and podcasts mean that they make all of their money and keep their material. I am excited to see where this goes for all comedians!
