I have one video I need to find and post It. Boat was literally almost too fast. I have still vid caps that show massive rooster tail. And how much the 33 pound boat is out of the water! Fast!!
Thanks man! It is a beast of a boat. I hate trying to wrestle it up from the basement to get it to the lake. Trying not to bang it into stuff from basement to truck!
Sorry. I actually sold this boat to pay for my twin outboard Skater I built. I can tell you it was incredibly fast! That green Bonzi was a bit too fast even on 6s per side. I may have a video sometime I can post but I really need to dig through some files. Thanks for checking out my stuff.
@@boatwerks That's awesome! You have a Dumas Skater (32foot)! I'm going to check out your channel for sure now. I have always wanted one. I had a full size 1987 Skater 21 foot with a 225 Merc ProMax. It did 89.6 mph on GPS. Miss that boat.
Well, I sold the boat almost 2 years ago. They don't leak, they ran fine. They were a little tight though. Needs lots of break in time to loosen up. New owner seems to be using it a lot so that is good. Thanks for question.
I do have to come clean, I did sell ONE. The large green Bonzi Epic 60. However, that was get money to build the 53" Skater with MHZ 1/5 scale outboards.
Cool! I have the same boat with twin C/R AMPS outdrives with a 1:1 Aeromarine gear box, a funcraft marine gas motor, 20MPH actual (GPS). Home made quad "wet" exhaust with the Apache Indian head decals #69. Looks AWESOME in the water!
Thanks for compliments on build. Run time is based on the battery size in mah, not cells. I had 6000mah 6 cell per motor, and was only getting about 6 minutes if good fast runs. If I had 8000 to 10,000mah I would have had longer run times. Thanks for asking. Glad you like the build. I sold that boat to pay for my Skater53 with twin outboards. I like the Skater much better!
@@vigilanterc Yes it’s a very nice build for sure. I’m working on a MHZ Hunter hull and going brushless and the run times quotes I get from people are just all over the map. So I appreciate your input!
I've been searching videos for a build using the Arrow Sharks before pulling the trigger on a twin setup. Are you sold on their durability and performance?
Yes. I like them a lot. Seem to hold up well. The gears are nicely meshed and require break in period..like a few runs. They do not even leak any lube from the case. I would buy more if needed.
@@aspenmeyer2774 depending on power you are using 65mm should be best. I say that because arrow shark 67mm are actually reworked down to 65mm this is easier on a gear drive system. On 6s my boat was plenty fast. On more power go smaller on props a little. Gears in drives will thank you.
Late to the party here. I'm starting down that road with custom Apache 47' hull and custom drives. Do you have a website with photos, forum thread, TH-cam channel? I don't myself, need to start one.
Sweet build buddy! I’m thinking my next big boat build and that looks like a winner!
Thanks for sharing!
Sweet boat for big boys 😉 Excellent set up !!
Love to see a run video on the water

You have some awesome boats dude !
Damn another badass boat build by vigilanterc! love it man . the wrap is excellent. this one dwarfs the M41 next to it.

vigilanterc i hear you there.
Sand Scorcher my 1st true RC.....
Thats awesome. I have a Sand Scorcher as well. But mine is the rerelease kit. I love it.
Looking Forward to a running video

We need a video of this boat running 😱
Unfortunately I sold it. I may have to dig up the only video I made a couple years ago. Ran really well.
How are Arrow Shark outdrives holding up ?

That is so sweet do you ever sell them?
Sorry, I only build for me. And usually don't sell. I keep all my best ones. But thank you for asking.

Hi Steven, can we see this boat running ? I have an Aeromarine Apache 56'' with 2 M8 Z-Drives but no motors yet !

Sick build!! Way cool M8! What do you think about Oxidean Marine catermaran that does 108mph stock for 1400.00? Worth it?? Thank you 😊
A idea to reduce camera shake/ mini tripod w/gooseneck
What type of run times did you get with the 6s set up? Great build!

Have u tried it on 8s
No. I sold it a few weeks ago. Only 6s
I'm building a 72" CRC cat putting a similar running gear in as u was wondering how it worked with the 67mm props was it under or over propped

I am making a big v hull boat with a home made drives
