I always felt sympathy for Morgana's plight.
A sentient being trapped in the body of a house pet, doomed to live and die without ever knowing a lover's embrace.
It's almost Shakespearean in it's level of tragedy.
Yeah, but Morgana is a veritable ass throughout the game, it's hard to sympathize with him on anything else. Not to mention, he has no right to lecture others with how impulsive he is and gets the Thieves into his own share of trouble.
@@ethanialstuder5861 The guy has his flaws like being mean to Ryuji ore his nonsensical tempertantrum and yes he makes mistakes (the laser trap in Madarames Palace) but he has a lot good things going fore him. A Mountain of contributions to the team ore when he looked after Futaba and gave here emotinal support. With this character the good outways the bad so hard that he still ended up being my favorit character despite that cringworthy section where he runs away.
That he lives up to his own hype fore the most part makes it really satisfaying and fun to listen to his braging. If it would not be fore him being mean to Ryuji I would say he is the most likeable arrogant character ever.
I personally like to compare Morgana to the character of Nanachi becuse they have a lot of paralles. They are cute fluffy mascoot characters, they are healers, teachers, guides and navigators to the maincharacters and they are both true godsends without there respective teams would not be able to survive.
When I saw youre comment the first thing I thought "That is nothing compared to Nanachis problems. By comparesion Morgana lives an amazing and happy live with some minor inconviniences."
I know its a dumb comparesion. This is not a contest of which character had it worse but I just found it funny how Nanachis live before meting Reg and Riko was so bad it makes the lives of most other characters look happy and fullfilled.
Teddie is better. He even cockblock Yu, Yosuke and Kanji with one shot. Gets all the girls for himself. What a legend.

I like how in the story the game makes Morgana think he's "useless", even though he's almost always constantly in your team because he is a healer

Yea tru but I still use Morgana cuz he’s a dedicated healer, while I generally used Makoto for nuke dmg, instead of healing, so sp got wasted fast.
I get it was necessary to the plot (because Atlus couldn't think of any better way to implement Haru and the Okumura palace, apparently), but God I wish it wouldn't force Morgana to feel useless when he's always the one in my party dishing out the most crits, weak spot attacks, heals, etc. And I wish it would let me at least *try* and comfort him during his feelings of uselessness. It also basically just forces the MC to completely ignore and not question Morgana's depressed state of mind, which just doesn't make sense for Joker/Ren/Akira at all.
@Owen Leitch It's mainly cause using her as a main healer is wasting her potential, since she never gets a media skill naturally. Which means if you are using her as your main healer, she'll have to heal every single one of her turns and the fact she won't be able to keep up in end game where bosses get multiple attacks and also have lots of multi hitting attacks. She makes a good off-healer though alongside Makoto and Morgana though, if you want to use their abilities more but yeah there is a reason why.
However if you like using her as a healer that is cool and nothing bad about it! ^-^ Plus her magic stat does help a bit as well.

Same, I really like him and I think people wouldn't give him so much flak if he didn't "force" you to sleep all the time (when in reality he's just voicing Joker's need to sleep early after exploring the Metaverse). Royal fixed that but I guess most people haven't played that version yet.

So many people hate on him just for the Okumura arc, which admittedly wasn't that great for him, but he has his reasons that were explained perfectly fine. And from then on, he proves himself over and over as a loyal friend but people still only wanna focus on his few bad moments.

If it would not be fore him beim being mean to Ryuji I say he is the most likeable arrogant character ever becuse he is arrogant without any of the downsides of being arrogant. He lives up to his own hype, he is not cocky ore careless, he apriciates his teammates and he is honest and open about his mistakes and falures. That makes his braging really satisfaying and fun to listen to fore me and the part where he thinks he is useless super frustrading. How can someone that impressive think that? That he is vital to the team is painfully obvious.
Despite his flaws he is my favorit video game character right now.

Morgana was and always will be my favorite Phantom Thief. I don't care what anyone says about him or how much the fandom despises him to death, I've always adored him.

Even though he has no chance with Ann I like how scincere and loyal his love is. In think after Okumura it starts to dawn on him that he has no chance eventhough he does not throw in the towel yet but he still wants to make Ann happy. I have never romanced Ann becuse she just fells more like a pal to me but I seen Morganas reaction to it on TH-cam and dam he takes it well. He is really sweet.
I kinda dislike his fragile ego. He is (fore the most part) as good as he claims to be which makes its super annoying when he doubts himself and thinks he is useless.
Also I dont find Morgana telling Joker to go to bed annoying at all.
Despite his downsides I love this character. Straight up my favorit video game character.

Going to be honest, I get a bit peeved when Morgana is described as a "monster cat". If I were to meet him for the first time in real life, I would've referred to him as a "cartoon character".

That's probably because Teddie's human form was tall enough for his character model to still work well in combat with or without the bear suit on. It would be much more complex with making Morgana go from small and catlike to tall and human. Lots of animations would need to be changed, at least.
