@@plutotechapparently you don’t understand how the 12-team playoffs work. Because the Cotton Bowl, Peach Bowl, Fiesta Bowl, Orange Bowl, Sugar Bowl, and Rose Bowl are reserved for the 12-team playoffs; with four bowls used in Quarterfinals and two bowls used in Semifinals before National Championship Game. So if any A4 school does not qualify for the playoffs, then the next best bowls are: Liberty, Sun, Music City, Citrus/Camping World, Gator, Alamo, Independence, Armed Forces, Holiday, Pinstripe, Fenway/Boston, Mayo, Military, Myrtle Beach, Las Vegas, Heart Of Dallas/First Responders, Houston/Texas, and Mineke Care Car bowls. I know there are many others that have weight to them, but these are the ones with the most important historical records and affecting various top25 polls. So you still need 82 teams bowl eligible with 12 going to the playoffs and the other 70 playing in 35 bowl games that are not part of the playoffs as of now. When they go to 14 teams in a couple of years, two of those prestigious bowl games currently not part of playoff system setup of bowls will be added. The four candidates to select two more bowl games to be added are The Sun Bowl, The Liberty Bowl, Citrus Bowl, and Independence Bowl with the Alamo Bowl and Music City Bowl getting strong consideration for obvious reasons. If they do away with home playoff games for first round when they go to 14 teams; then the six bowls I mentioned as two would be added would all six be added plus what would happen and possibly added if necessary in the quarterfinals round.

For people who question Texas' schedule, here are the teams they've beaten, and who those teams have beaten
    Oklahoma (34-3) Alabama (24-3)
    Vanderbilt (27-24) Alabama (40-35)
    Arkansas (20-10) Tennessee (19-14)
    Florida (49-17) Ole Miss (24-17)

This was already predicted by many analyst in the beginning that my Bama would be a 9-3 team since losing all that we lost…….so I’m happy with the outcome. IF Georgia loses in the SEC championship game by a considerable margin, I don’t think they’re in. You have to consider how bad 3 loss Ole Miss beat them, and the Bama win doesn’t hold much weight anymore. It’s hard to beat a good team twice and if Texas wins it pretty much cancels out their most quality win. Georgia jumped on Texas to start that game, but Texas clawed back and basically outplayed them in the second half. It’s a way more even matchup than people think and I wouldn’t be surprised to see Texas Favored again.

No 3 loss team should be allowed in from any conference. It does not matter what their roster is like and how many blue chips they have. They should play better if that is the case. A conference championship game should not knock you out for playing it. If georgia had lost a tiebreaker with a different 2 loss team and didnt go that shouldnt be a punishment for earning that extra game.
Im an ohio state fan so im not being a georgia homer. But in general i would not like a "2 loss" team that had a worse regular season which is why they didnt make the champ game to get in the playoff over georgia because they did worse in the regular season?

      @dariusp257 5 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

@@JFTB-i8y But that is how it works in every conference. Lets take Tennessee. They lost to Georgia, they are 9-2 and will play Vandy. They will end up the regular season 10-2 most likely. Georgia plays GTech and will most likely end up 10-2. Now, Texas beats Texas A&M and is 11-1. They beat Georgia and are 12-1, Tenn will be 10-2, Georgia would be at 10-3. Then you have 4 teams that can end up 9-3. Really it should be Texas and Tenn that go and Georgia gets left behind. That is the risk of a championship game for every conference. It has to matter. There are other teams in other conferences that will end up with 2 loses that should get in over Georgia with 3 loses. The ACC will have Miami and SMU. Is it right to leave one of them out with 2 loses to put in Georgia with 3 loses? I don't think so.

If the favorites win out this weekend which is what I think will happen
the SEC would have 2 locks Texas & Tenn regardless of who loses the SEC Champ game.
I don't think Bama can get in with a 3rd loss looking that ugly 24-3 to Oklahoma.
What would be interesting is UGA vs Ole Miss discussion if UGA loses to Texas in champ game
both 3 losses, Ole Miss H2H win, UGA played an extra game but if and how they lose they
could be out, they were down big to Bama, ugly loss to Ole Miss, ugly win over Kentucky. Ugly loss to
    Texas could do them in.
I think the ACC getting 2 teams could be a scenario as well as you mentioned Greg possibly the ACC champ loser getting in.
    There's really 2 wildcards here
one is ND if they lose to USC, discussion is them vs a 3 loss SEC team
I could see the committee taking UGA & Ole Miss over 2 loss ND.
The other wildcard no one mentioned is UNLV, they're currently 9-2 if they win out and beat Boise St in a rematch
they would be an 11 win conf champ with 2 losses to Boise St & Syracuse a combined 8 pts, with wins over Boise St & road win over
    Kansas(that win looks better now).
Now the discussion could be 2 loss Boise St vs 2 loss ND vs 2 loss Miami/SMU vs 3 loss SEC
The latter is only scenario where a 3 loss Bama would be lobbied for by Sankey
