I would own one! We print barcodes and labels for all kinds of things around my shop, and we could put this thing to good use! And, they say the ink is a bit pricey, but we print such a small print area I can't imagine it costing that much on a per-print basis.
Since they're making a larger one, they should make one that has the ability to print out postal labels.

Yeh, I have an older brother label printer, nothing fancy. In fairness, those labels wouldn't stick on wood though, there's definitely some obscure uses for this thing

Yes, it supports cusotm image upload. You're still limited to the height of the print head, of course - about half inch on this one and 1-inch on their S1+

Why do you need a cell phone etc to get this thing working.haha. what next you need a phone to start your car?
My car has an app, to turn the heating on remotely. It's a bit crap though, needs you to connect to the car wi-fi, which doesn't reach the house.
Tesla app you start your car... Also move it any way you want
