Don’t forget the Shambles when you walk the gates of York. And definitely share the story of Grape Lane. Knaresborough was the place I first, and last, saw Princess Di.
Thank you so much for the super thanks mate, that really means a lot! Im pleased you enjoyed seeing Knaresborough again, I didn't realise Princess Di had visited. I haven't been in the area that long but I'll have a look online for pictures! Sounds good mate, hopefully I will do the York visit justice. Ill make sure to include those requests! Thanks so much once again for the super thanks mate and for all of the support. All the best Auld Boy
@@auld_boy Did a search…looks like the visit by Princess Di was 13 Knaresborough Road in Harrogate on 19 November 1985. She visited a cafe there that was operated by Barnardo’s. My memories got conflated to Knaresborough town. But I do remember clearly how beautiful her blue eyes were.
Hope you can do Westerdale preceptory soon. "Westerdale Preceptory was a priory in Westerdale, North Yorkshire, England. The land was donated to the Knights Templar by Guido de Bovingcourt in 1203,"
Thanks Snappy, Im pleased you enjoyed it. Ill get back to it soon so you can all see the inside of it. Its small but really intriguing. Thanks again :)
Its a cool area..quite a lot to see in a small area. The castle and all 3 caves are quite close together although you have to pay to get into mother shiptons cave. You can hire a boat on the river too which is nice too!
Fell upon this video while surfing the net !! Love these mini tours !! Been to harrogate and york many years ago ! Wished i had been exposed to more info like this so i could have had an even more interesting tour !
@@motzartiana Hi there, it’s good to have you here and I’m pleased you have enjoyed the mini tours. I’ll try and make it a more regular thing seen as people are interested. Thanks for stopping by, watching and leaving a comment. I really appreciate it 😊👍

Really enjoyed the witches house, and this one young man, I could be your granddad 🤫🤔 It fill my heart how you should such and share the special places within our great country and it proud origin's 💯⚖️🇬🇧 All the best regards from LONDON 😍🇬🇧💯🥇🤩🎬
Went there last year and it was closed for me too and mother shiptons cave too. So went to hermits cave and the church while walking around . I heard some people talking and saying he's back again.
Beautiful spot. I wonder about those holes for beams - a large proportion looked a bit randomly spaced, makes me wonder if some housed miniature icons/offerings or something rather than being structural.
Its a really nice place round there. I love just wandering by the river! Yes I think some of them were used this way for sure..especially closer to the cave. They are clearly recessed "shelves" of sorts! Cheers for watching!

Now interestingly ( or not) the Grand Lodge Of English Masons will tell you that freemasonry was not established until the 17th century BUT you are getting very warm talking about the Templars 😏
@@Tigs2 Hey there. Thanks for the info! It seems a lot of them were interested in Ancient Greece too as I’ve seen a lot of imagery relating to the mysteries. Thanks a lot for watching and for sharing this info!

The gorge at knaresborough is outstanding, with the railway viaduct dominating, the river, caves and bridges, and the railway station on the hillside
Love the history of my mother land (I'm from Meridan)...keep up the great work!!

Why is it grainy 720p?
@@BlackCubeSimulation I guess the phone signal isn’t great in the area, maybe due to the massive rock face but just a guess.
