I- the artist doesn’t know how violin/viola type instruments work do they?
He plays the violin during the performance, I’m confused by what you mean?
@@mcduckthechicken7030 many things are in the wrong places😂
The bow (the stick thing)is supposed to rest on the space between the black area that you use to change the sound of the strings and the ‘bridge’(the wooden bit that makes sure the strings aren’t level, which therefore makes it easier to hit the right note)
That ‘black area I mentioned should be quite a bit thicker than it is due to the player needing space to manipulate more than one string at once, though personally I sort of count that as artistic liberty.
There’s also the way he is holding the bow, it’s a little too high up on the bow and too loose to actually have enough control to keep the bow where it needs to be without putting in more effort than it actually needs.
And finally the chin rest. You can see in the art how there’s the roundish black part close to the characters chin? That’s where his chin is supposed to go. That part was made specifically for the players comfort rather than to change/manipulate the sound of the instrument.
