    I need to draw a line with a 1:50 scale ruler, I need to know how much do I round up or down for instance if I have 8462mm do I stop the line at 8450mm. How do you get the 12mm on this scale. increments go 50,100,150,200... 609 for example would I just round down to 600?
    Any help much appreciated

      For that kind of accuracy it's best to use a CAD program or other computerized software. If the project doesn't require extreme accuracy, then rounding would be the next option.

      Thanks for you reply VRF Wizard.
      Is there definitely no other way of doing it on a tape or scale engineers ruler ?

      @@philmurray6457 You can estimate the distance based on percentages, such as if the smallest scale you have is 1:50, this means that each cm on the scale is equal to 50 cm in the real world. This would mean that 12cm in the real world would be 12/50 = 24% of the cm on the scale. there are hash marks on the scale so look for the hash mark that is close to 24%, or a quarter of the distance.

    10:08 what if the given is 200x64
    What will be its result in 1:50 scale?

    • @VRFWizard
      @VRFWizard  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Noted. 100 CM Ductwork would equal 2 CM on the scale for a 1:50 (100 x 1 / 50 = 2)

    I dont get it, I thought for example the given is 4cm then to make it to 1:50 scale you will just multiply it by .50, So its 4x.50 = 2 meters. Am I right?

    • @VRFWizard
      @VRFWizard  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, 4 cm equals 2 meters when using a 1:50 scale
