Brian May is the lead guitarist as well as holding a doctorate in astrophysics, Bassist John Deacon degree in engineering, drummer Roger Taylor, degree in biology and Freddie had a degree in graphic design. He created the bands logo. All 4 band members have at least 2 top ten hits to their credit.
Rodger Taylor the drummer was responsible for some of the best backup vocals. And the only one you didn't mention John Deacon the bassist actually wrote this song
I can't believe that you didn't even acknowledge John Deacon (the bassist). He created this LEGENDARY riff that is so iconic! He was Queen's "Secret Weapon." 💯
It was a sad day when we lost Freddie Mercury. The man was an unmatched vocal talent and a amazing lyricist. He absolutely had a captivating stage presence. Queen will be talked about 100 years from now. Their music transcends time. 🙌🏼
If you haven't already, you need to see their Live Aid set....he had a huge crowd doing his bidding! If you want to see more of Freddie playing the audience, and some of Deaky being amazing on bass, check out Dragon Attack live in Montreal.
This song was written by the bass player, John Deacon (Deaky) - it was a No. 1 hit. Everyone of the 4 band members wrote No. 1 hits! And yes, the lead guitarist is (Dr.) Brian May; he’s a PhD in astrophysics! The drummer (and back-up singer) is Roger Taylor - also highly educated. They are an amazing group.. Roger and Brian are still performing/touring (pre-COVID) - with Adam Lambert as lead singer. They are STILL amazing!!
Thanks, Velda - I've been a Queen fan since my teenage years - in the seventies -- when we lost Freddie, I took it hard.. and pretty much did not want to see anything with Adam... but when I finally DID see him, I was charmed and amazed - he is awesome - and his style and talent - I think - would have made Freddie very happy...
Queen's lead guitarist is Brian May, actually, Dr. Brian May, who has a Ph.D. in Astrophysics (he worked with NASA on the New Horizon Project). Queen's drummer is Roger Taylor who has a voice that Freddie once described as a dog whistle (really high falsetto). Queen's bass guitarist is John Deacon who actually wrote this song (Another One Bites The Dust).
Written by bass player John Deacon, who supplied one of the greatest bass guitar riffs of all time. There were some fans that were mad when this song came out because they thought Queen had sold out to the disco crowd. I personally always thought of it as "funky" Queen instead of "disco" Queen. Drummer is Roger Taylor, who also did a lot of the high vocals on their songs. And yes, guitarist is Brian May. All four members of Queen were also highly educated in professional careers. Freddie was a graphic designer, John is a trained electrical engineer, Brian has a doctorate in astrophysics and Roger has a degree in biology and was attending dental school before joining Queen.
Freddie still has a full control of the crowd from Heaven, almost 30 years after his death. He can make 65.000+ people (when 90% of them are to young to have been around when Freddie was alive) singing in sync the whole song. Check out - '' LONDON, ENGLAND Green Day Crowd Singing Bohemian Rhapsody - Hyde Park July 1st - ''. where there is no one on stage. The way that the crowd gets involved is one of the coolest thing ever. It gives you goosebumps.
If you really want to see Freddy's controlling the crowd you should react to the Live Aid concert it's about 15 minutes long I think but it's shows his Showmanship
That is a great one but yeah, long video (about 20+ minutes actually)... There is a shorter version of Freddie playing his favorite instrument (the audience) about a year after the Live Aid concert. Check out "Under Pressure" from Queen -Live at Wembley 1986. I think it's better performance, as it wasn't censored by the networks which aired Live Aid on regular broadcast TV back in 1985. Plus he's wearing that iconic leather jacket in the 1986 show - LOL!
Freddie was one of a kind, Brian May an incredible guitarist & vocalist & Roger Taylor’s ability on drums & his amazing vocals were all the envy of the industry, but did you not hear John Deacon on bass? My goodness, his base line set the whole precedence for this incredible song. Four essential parts of one giant, well tuned machine. Queen forever. 🖤🎶🖤
This is one of Queen’s most popular songs. It was written by John Deacon, Queen’s bass player, who actually keeps the beat to this song. Brian and Roger weren’t keen on the song, but dear Michael Jackson told them they needed to put this out as a single and on LP. Thank you MJ for the good advice. And the rest is Queen history 👑🎸🥁🎤
Dr. Brian May on lead guitar. He has a PhD in Astrophysics- he made ( with his dad) his guitar when he was a teen. Roger Taylor drummer is awesome- listen to him sing and drum to ‘I’m in Love With My Car’!! Yup/ you’ll go through at least 200 songs- I hope you stick with it! Is 1Queen fans will stay with you!
An interesting fact about this song: Fearing a tepid US response to Another One Bites the Dust, Queen had it released to an R&B Station in NYC, and the DJ's (I believe) were asked not to say who the artist was. After a week, the song was a huge hit on every R&B station in NYC, and word of mouth got out, and soon, this future US #1 Hit was playing all across the Country! It was a genius marketing strategy!
Love, love, LOVE this reaction!! Live Aid is a prime example of Freddie’s ability to control the crowd. As for songs, take your pick, they don’t have one that will disappoint you. Freddie Brian May- guitarist John Deacon-bass guitar Roger Taylor- drums
The drummer's name is Rodger Taylor and the bass player name is John Deacon he is the one who actually wrote the song Another One Bites the Dust which is why it has such a strong bass line the bass player John Deacon wrote this song it was a huge number one song in the United States for queen of course who is a British band
One thing about Queen is that all members of the group wrote hits for the group. You notice this song has a great baseline, of course it does. It was written by the bass player John Deacon. Brian & Roger didn’t like it. They thought it was too disco. It turned out to be one of their biggest hits. Another tidbit about this song is that they knew Michael Jackson & when he heard it, he said you have to release that one. It’s a hit. Thanks Michael. You got the guitar player correct. That is Dr Brian May. Yup, he has a PHD in Astrophysics. The drummer is Roger Taylor. He has a great voice & sings background on a lot of songs. When you hear the high notes in the background that’s Roger. If you want to hear & see amazing, react to I’m In Love With My Car written & sung by Roger while he’s playing drums. As you see, I’ve gone down the rabbit hole & can’t say enough about them.
If you react to 'I'm in Love With My Car' use the official video Roger hated playing it live, because singing into the mike and playing the drums with his usual energy was very hard to do.
Brian May’s a brilliant guitarist...he has a degree in astrophysics, Freddy had a degree is design and illustration, drummer Roger Taylor has a degree in biology, and John Deacon has a degree in Electronics.
Freddie was one of the best vocalist of all time. His idol was Aretha Franklin. I can only imagine the magic those two could’ve done together on a song. #RIP Freddie & Aretha.
I love your reaction and your energy. I've loved Queen since I was 12 and my uncle started playing their albums back in the day. Everyone knows Freddie Mercury, the rest of the band is: Brian May on lead guitar, John Deacon on bass guitar and Roger Taylor on drums. They were one of white rock groups that had a funky edge to their sound.
If you wanna see more amusing Freddie antics onstage, check out Another One Bites the Dust live at Montreal 1981. It's a side of Freddie you don't always get to see. 😂
Brian May was the guitarist and Roger Taylor was the drummer. Queen never put out a bad song that I remember.❤️🤗 You should view the movie Bohemian Rhapsody. It's so good.
This live at Wembley 1986, fantastic... in fact... anything live at Wembley 1986. “Now I’m Here” live at Wembley. Medley of “In The Lap Of The Gods, Seven Seas Of Rhye and Tear It Up” Live at Wembley. Oh and “It’s a Kind off Magic” live at Wembley. ❤️Freddie❤️
React to the live version at Wembley (Friday night)1986...you really see his showmanship and he does lots of improvisations!!!! Don't do the Queen performance at Live Aid, 1985 just yet ( considered the greatest in rock music history)...save it until later, until you know Queen better ( you'll really see how he controls the crowd with a wave of a hand). In the meantime react to LOVE OF MY LIFE, live at Wembley 1986, amazing crowd control
Freddie is the best front man there ever was or ever will be. No doubt about it. The four members of Queen were a magical combination, never to be matched. Freddie Mercury, Brian May, John Deacon, Roger Taylor.
Nobody…and I mean *nobody* could control a crowd like Freddie, baby! That glorious man was absolute magic. We lost one of the most talented people in history(!) when his curtain closed for the last time.😔 F’ AIDS. RIP
Brian made the guitar he is playing from stuff he had laying around his house. It was an original that he made to be able to do those special vibrations and such.
If you’ve ever been to any type of sporting event you would have heard this one, and We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions. They all regularly got played at basketball games. DOCTOR Brian May, Astrophysicist (has worked with NASA) on lead guitar/backing vocals. He and his father make "The Red Special" The guitar he still plays to this day. Using parts they had around the house. Roger Tayler (Scientist) drums, backing vocals John Decon (Engineer) Bass, rarely vocals and if he does the mic is turned down And of course Feddie Mercury! All have written #1 hits.
Roger Taylor--drums/vocals, Brian May--Guitar/vocals; both have solo music, too! John Deacon--Bass (composed this song), retired from music in 1997. Freddie RIP
so fun fact about this song. Queen and Freddie were friends with Michael Jackson. They played a rough cut of their new album for MJ and mentioned that they were thinking about cutting this song because they didn't like it very much. MJ told them they had to keep this song on the album because he loved it so much. MJ loved this song so much he made Smooth Criminal. Arguably THE greatest and most legendary front man/male vocalist, spanning all generations and every genre, in the history of music. I was only 6 when Freddie died but I’ve been listening to him my whole life. He’s my favorite artist of all time. IMO, the only artist who could even hold a candle to Freddie (no bigger than a tea candle, however) in reference to all around musical talent would be John Lennon. FUN FACT - I just adopted a beautiful, little bitty, 4 week old male black cat about a month ago. I named him “Farrokh Bulsara, because that was Freddie’s birth name……so yeah……..I might have a slight problem 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
Freddie’s got swag! “Now I’m Here” live from Wembley 1986 “White Queen” live from the Odeon 1975 “39” studio version to hear Brian singing lead & angelic harmonies! “I’m in Love with My Car” live from Montreal 1981 to hear Roger singing lead.
In my Senior year 1982 our varsity football team had been undefeated for weeks. They started blasting this song over the PA system with each win. We went the whole season and regionals undefeated. Granted we did lose in the State final but this song became our Anthem. And Brian May still shreds the guitar to this day. He recently did a song with Five Funger Death Puch along with 2 other legends, Brantley Gilbert and Kenny Wayne Shepherd "Blue on Black".
He was the "Strutmaster", this was this the song dedicated to me at my bachelorette party in 1982! What a blast! Check out "Someone To Love" in Montreal!
thanks, da real - see comments below -- they are saying most of what I'd say -- give it up for John Deacon - bassist for writing this (and slapping it!) -- Roger Taylor is our drummer - you already seem to know Brian May - absolutely no parallel -- and these guys are the ones that supported the genius that was Freddie! looking forward to more of your reactions...
In my Senior year 1982 our varsity football team had been undefeated for weeks. They started blasting this song over the PA system with each win. We went the whole season and regionals undefeated. Granted we did lose in the State final but this song became our Anthem.
Dr. Brian May, Astrophysicist. Drummer, Roger Taylor BS in Biology. Bass Guitar, John Deacon electronics, built an amplifier for Brian May. Freddie Mercury studied piano in boarding school and got a degree in graphic arts and design. They are not only talented but educated.
Freddy Mercury... lead singer/frontman Brian May... guitar/backing vocals John Deacon... base/backing vocals (less often tho) Roger Taylor... drums/backing vocals Also don't forget both Brian AND Roger also sing lead on a number of songs too.
If you react to a live version of this song -- and you should -- please, please, please do Wembley in '86, not the '81 version at Montreal. (And for the record, this video was not live, just done on the stage where they rehearsed.)
WHO ALL HIT THAT LIKE BUTTON FOR ME? WE AIMING FOR 1,000 LIKES YALL! LETS DO IT YALL
John Deacon, Queen bassist, created this song. It’s sick!
White Queen live at the Odeon Hammersmith.
This song and the Bee Gees "Stayin' Alive" were the perfect rhythm for CPR and were often used to train first responders.
Rodger Taylor the drummer was responsible for some of the best backup vocals. And the only one you didn't mention John Deacon the bassist actually wrote this song
Deaky wrote several of their BIGGEST hits including this one. He never got enough recognition!
Roger was brilliant with backup vocals
Taylor had a voice!!!
@@susieq9801 i think its because you cant really hear him compared to the others and he also left Queen
John also wrote Best Friend for his wife. Freddie sings it beautifully!
Freddie didn’t control the crowd. He owned the crowd. He was the general in that massive military. Legend. RIP.
I can't believe that you didn't even acknowledge John Deacon (the bassist).
He created this LEGENDARY riff that is so iconic! He was Queen's "Secret Weapon." 💯

I totally agree. I love Queen,I love Freddie Mercury and I miss them every day. ❤
Freddie is a fantastic front man and performer. The crowd loves him. It doesn't get any better than Freddie Mercury and Queen.

Queen's band members all wrote at least 2 top ten hits.
I love that John Deacon wrote this song for himself with what may be the most iconic bass line of all time.

Rodger , Deacon, Brian are so much Queen as Freddie. That was a musical mismatch that was perfect.💗😎🎼

Brian May. Lead guitar. He is an ASTROPHYSICIST !!!! Brilliant. Gary

The Show Must Go On or I Want It All next :)
Drummer is Roger Taylor and the bass player is John Deacon
I recommend you watch the movie, Bohemian Rhapsody. It's the story of Freddy's life and the band. Its really good.
Great reaction video! I have to give props to the bassist John Decan, he wrote this song!!
One of the best!!! Awesome performances!!!! Thanks so much!♥️
I was born in 1943 i have heard the best of music Queen will always be the best
John Deacon, who plays bass guitar, wrote this one.
This song is what happens when the bass player writes a hit.
You got 2.3k likes today, not just a measly 1000! Freddie Mercury, vocals, Roger Taylor drums, Brian May, guitar, John Deacon bassist.
Check this song out at their 1981 Montreal concert it much better
Usually "Another One Bites the Dust" and their other song "We Are The Champions" are played at the same time, both Epic!
If you react to a live version of this song -- and you should -- please, please, please do Wembley in '86, not the '81 version at Montreal. (And for the record, this video was not live, just done on the stage where they rehearsed.)
Too see Freddy control a crowd, listen to, Love of My Life, live in Rio. He has an audience of 250,000 under control.
