How would you do this in Logic Pro X?

Nikolas Wolf it’s so funny that you said that cause I was literally just listening to RoS and that’s what brought me to this video

Are you telling me I've been doing three times the effort for all these years I've been playing? LoL. God damn! You learn something new every day. So you don't even have to play the section in any given BPM? Like half speed or quarter speed. Interesting

It's a great tool for composing, but honestly you should practice and learn to play the part at full speed. That's what musicians do.

Cryptopsy666 definitely i would only record something i can play, or else i would feel somewhat fake ahha, its not bad for practicing speed though

Cryptopsy666 I also watched the whole series and Andrew covered why this tip is only good for 'saving time'.

Adrian Cecchin True. But you can't disregard this either. It's like using a calculator to do your math. Or taking a photograph instead of painting portraits. It saves having to hire a guitarist to play your compositions while recording.
That school of thought would even prevent you from using tools like Superior Drummer and such.

I like the way you put it haha. I use Superior and dont play drums so yeah i guess you are right :)

cool tip, but as general opinion I really think if you cant play the part fast and clean then you shouldn't record it until you can.

I like your original guitar part but I need Logic.

These vids are cool. I can see a lot of players getting themselves into big trouble with this studio "mulligan" and can't play it live at speed.

I don't see how this is called Rock? If it's dirty, let it be dirty.

He's not telling that this is how 'real rock' sounds, or that you SHOULD do it, he's just pointing out that it's possible and how it's done.

@@biscobisco1882 wow, didn’t remember my comment or this video. Guess I changed my mind about stuff a bit the last six years 😂
