We are! Meow Wolf was one of our favorites for sure. But just wait until you see tomorrow's video - White Sands was absolutely incredible! Looking forward to seeing you later this week. :) -Brian
Perhaps I should have been, but it never crossed my mind. :) We didn't stay in any hotels on the whole road trip. If we weren't camping, we stayed with friends or at Airbnb's. We preferred to stay with people that actually lived in each city because then we could learn about fun things to do there and good places to eat. -Brian
@@PerfectLittlePlanet it just amazes me to think so many years ago visiting many of the places you have been on your road trip, how much they have changed. Taos Pueblo still looks the same to me but they weren't as opened up to letting people in like that. we were able to camp near the lava fields. It's just been wonderful though traveling along with you some what 40 years later plus. Cherish all these memories oh, I am. Again thank you for sharing your road trip with us. Oh and by the way, they did not have a meow wolf that many years ago. My mother would have had a heart attack if we wanted to go into something like that LOL. And I forgot to add about the camping that's the only way to go in my opinion. And we saw a family here and there but mostly camping. We went with my twin uncle and their five kids so we were just one great big happy family. And we took these trips for years. Actually I think that's what makes a trip like this so wonderful is the fact that camping then and now could be the same as long as everyone puts the technology away. We didn't have all that back then which made for great conversation. Anyway, I know you took this trip a little while back I just have to come up on this one. Hope everyone is well. Sorry this is so long it happens sometimes.
These are definitely cherished memories for us. That's a big reason we filmed the trip, so that we could always remember it. :) And we totally agree about putting technology away, but more than just camping. We try to put it away at home during certain times too. We've found it's really helped us stay present with each other and with our baby. And don't worry about long comments. We like to read them all. :) -Brian
The Miao Wold place is soo cool, the idea itself is genius. And the camping site at night with all these stars looks AMAZING 👍
This was such a great day! We loved seeing all the stars too. Thanks for watching! -Brian

That was our favorite entrance too! We slid down the dryer a few times. :) -Brian
I’m so jealous. I was going to go whilst on my cross country journey but they’re on Tuesday which is when I was passing through!!!
Oh no! That's really too bad. I just found out that they're opening another one in Las Vegas in 2019, so maybe you can get to that one easier? -Brian
Really?! That's so cool. Is that on the Origin Story? Thanks for letting us know!
Trippy!
I know right?! It's so cool!

I know right?! I was blown away. We're still trying to wrap our heads around it.

Lava rock area. Weren’t you concerned about triancha or snakes? How often do you get a hotel?
