As someone who loved mlp when I was younger but was disappointed by the designs in equestria girls, this vid was so much fun to watch. Definitely agree that Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash came out the best, makes me wish we could see them like that in something official. Also, love your artstyle, the way you draw hair is *chefs kiss*

Ok I need someone to tell me whyyy they thought it was a good idea to give flutterSHY of all people, a tank top?!? Ah hell yeah, my girl AppleJack continues to carry the dollline (the new redesign dolls are ugo- it’s definitely the face. More specifically the eyebrows and the pencil thin sculpted lips).
I kinda get it tbh. Like shy eco girl the aesthetic makes sense. Maybe making her look lankier like her as a filly??? Idk i feel like Fluttershy with her personality would wear like oversized stuff not only as a shyness thing wanting to hide herself but would protect her arms when working with plants or animals
I always assumed it was to keep animals from choking her with bigger shirts or to keep them from getting tangled in the sleeves- but looking back at it it really doesnt make any sense 💀
how do tank tops and being shy correlate literally at all
@@gob6793 it depends from person to person but I personally as a shy person feel so awkward and self conscious when using a tank top without a sweater or something. Im getting better with it but every now and then I just cannot wear my cute tank tops because I just feel too weird and exposed

I love Twilight's more princessy vibe and Pinkie Pie's outfit! And I think the reason Pinkie looks a little off is that due to her round features and pink skin the design reads pig not pony. Even her adorable boots unintentionally sell the pig vibe.
People complaining about your RD and Rarity having very average body types that aren't even plus-sized is kind of astounding...athletic people and fashionistas can be thicker than the average super-slim doll and there's nothing wrong with that!
I adore your designs so much. They feel so perfect and full of life! The personalities just immediately pop out! Thank you so much for creating them 💕 My fave is Pinkie because I adore pastels!!! I think the boots are sooo her

Oh my god, I love these designs, especially Fluttershy's!!! They're so pretty and fit the characters better!!! I also grew up with Mlp and I still love it to this very day, and I'll admit, I have mixed opinions for the human designs for EQG. Still, these are just perfect!!!

can we talk about how all the dolls were the biggest flops compared to the animation 💀 AND THE FACT THAT THEY ALL HAVE RECEDING HAIRLINES
Okay, I've never written comments but I feel like I HAVE to point out how good not only your designs but also your video in general!
I like the choice of music on the background, your voice sounds confident and you definitely know what you are talking about. The criticism of dolls is on point too, honestly they scared me when I saw them as a teen lol. And the memes in-between make the atmosphere so lively. The only thing I would point out is that sometimes memes are louder then your voice and it really hits the ears when they appear and also I think it was on Rainbow Dash moment or somewhere near when you can hear outside sounds like paper rustling
And the designs absolutely slay, the colors you use suit them perfectly and the clothes match them so much, I think those are the best equestrians designs I've ever seen! The body shapes also say much about their character, what an awesome work!

I ADORE the equestria girls minis!!! they are my favourites of all the dolls ^^ I for the most part really like the movie designs for the mane six (have to mention they got so much better in the specials & better together series though!) but you have some really cool ideas and your designs turned out super pretty!! 💗✨✨

rarity - i feel like the mature look is so wrong for her?? she's supposed to be a hotshot, trendsetter. her redesign makes her look like a 30 year old blogger and not a 16-18 year old girl😭
fluttershy - LOVELOVELOVE shes so cute. i can definitely see her wearing this on weekends when going out with friends or getting groceries, but not in the school setting? i feel like she would wear something more modest-ey at school due to her shyness and social anxiety.
applejack - (random but she has my favourite outfits in the movies + webseries) i love the vest in her redesign, and i think i would love the whole redesign if the shirt wasn't orange tbh...😭i feel as if it throws everything off balance a tiny bit. everythings so freakin cute tho, especially the skirt and its ruffles! (although i can't actually imagine her wearing a skirt) it's just so heavily orange and warm toned. from the brown, to her shirt, to the apples, to her skintone... it's just a lot.
rainbow dash - right off the bat, not what i was expecting her body type to be at all. shes way more curvy and not at all as toned as she probably would be. i mean she was the captain of every sports team so... but other than that, i love the clouds on her pants, the lightning bolt in her hair, i think u rlly nailed her energy.
pinkie pie - (tbh the only thing i disliked about her og design is the skirt, i love her shoes and her 2000s cardigan sm. also she shouldve been the skater!! It's a recurring talent she has😣) only one note. it's too well put together, pinkie would dress so chaotically. other than that she's literally perfect.
twilight - (love her og design soso much! it's my fav) i can't explain how much i love how you drew her bangs. i dont love how flat the skirt is? it just shwooshes down oddly? nor do i like the cutie mark at the end of the skirt😭BUT I LOVE THE TOP??????? i literally want it for myself the poofy sleeves to the purply pinky orangey color to THE BOW???? a wardrobe need.
To be fair the whole school scene in the movies makes no sense because the ponies are ADULTS
I feel like they should've made the movies be set in college at least to make more sense
Not only are your redesigns amazing, I really enjoyed this video format and going through all of the different doll designs. I think you really improved upon representing each character's personality through their design! I also think giving Pinkie yellow rainboots is such a cute idea, and it just seems so strangely like something EG pinkie would wear. I think you did a great job with all of these designs!

I agree. I think Rarity would be slimmer and honestly the outfit was a miss to me (better than OG though). I liked the idea of her being older but she looks like a middle aged woman and idk if it was supposed to be like that. The art looks stunning as always, however.
I actually disagree! I think Rarity is very body positive and would be naturally a little thicker to encourage her "natural body". Her boutique would center around being size inclusive. It's also cute to imagine her being a little softer in comparison to Apple Jack's more muscular build as they are GFs.
@@Grrimbark I can completely understand where ur coming from, I just feel that the “high end of society that rarity seems to be coming from would reflect her body” and I always imagined rarity to have a more petite and soft body. Not too slim though. Besides if apple jack was muscular and tall and rarity was short and had a soft body, their dynamic would also be cute :). No offence again to anybody :))

the friendship through the ages dolls are much much better imo. my best friend had the rainbow dash one and i always loved her design because it fitted her personality
in my big age of 19, i finally realized the boots are to mimic the calf's shape on the pony versions.
but i still absolutely hate it. 10/10 redesigns, extra points for not having the atrocious boots.

i was OBSESSED with equestria girls as a kid but even back then the designs scared me LMFAO you have such an amazing and varied sense of style that captures each girl so well!! i wish wish wish we could've had these designs instead of... Well. You know.

I imagine Rarity to be curvier like your design, but also taller! The Draculaura body type fits Pinkie best imo, and I love to see crazy height variety. I LOVE the Marilyn Monroe inspo, Rarity gives off those vibes of a timeless classic beauty.
Your Fluttershy design was also my favorite. I might’ve given her undershirt a peter pan collar with a butterfly brooch(?)but the choker feels modern in a way that would appeal to doll collectors! This redesign gives off a real animal activist feel through the art alone, which is a testament to your design skill.
THANK YOU THANK YOU for changing AJ’s hairstyle. There was always something off about how it’s originally drawn, and your redo totally rids her of that weirdness. Also 🤍🤍🤍 the change from blue denim to brown. It might not make design sense for the movie taking place in a high school, but for a fashion doll she’d look amazing.
I mean this in the best way possible, Rainbow Dash reminds me of a Sonic Drive-Thru employee with her fanny pack, the red jacket and skates-I used to work there haha so she brought back memories. Her hair is SO creative!!!
I am a firm Pinkie Pie hair sprinkles truther 💕💕💕so this design is a yes from me. I think roller skates would look fitting in a Pinkie design, but the rain boots are also v charming! I can imagine them splattered with glitter paint

I'm so late, but the designs are really pretty. Honestly, I love Twi and Fluttershy's outfit the most, they're adorable. I remember watching MLP when I was little and didn't think too much about their designs/outfits. I just enjoyed it because friendship and I thought they looked cute. Looking back, they do feel odd. They definitely suffer from same face syndrome. But I do enjoy the use of a variety of body shapes. I do hope you make more cause they're gorgeous. Also, the intermissions were interesting. I need the video of Pinkie Pie slaying. 😅

I remember when all 4 of the movies came out on netflix and my brother was just suffering on the couch while 8 year old me was having a good time

Loved your designs the clothes were all so unique and interesting. There were some things I didn't expect like I always saw flutershy as more lanky but still petite and Rarity as tall and slendr but I think you made it work really well with your designs
