This band has touched my soul on more than just an emotional level but, physically. I have changed so much since finding this band not only because of their inspirational lyrics but, their stage presence. I swear, when they play every person listening becomes as one. It is so miraculous to me. Many long nights spent listening to them.. Helping me get through hardships and the understanding of pain and love all at once. Teaching me that life is beautiful and what is in it as well. They have helped me step back from my mischievous set of mind and not take for granted what is right in front of me... I could not thank them more for that. No band has ever inspired me like this one has.

Something that inspires me most about them is that they're not worried about headbanging and jumping around. They capture a beautiful melodic hardcore sound and are focused on capturing that by playing their instruments very well. There's nothing wrong with stage antics like headbanging, but their music creates an atmosphere that would be ruined if while watching them they crouched down and headbanged while playing open D. It's nice seeing their music reflected with their talent and focus.
i listen to this every single morning. not only because its a great song. but because it gives me strength. strength to be positive in a negative world. I'm able to have hope, that i can better myself, that the world can see light in the darkness. only love and respect can fix this. its easy to be negative in a negative world. but to be positive takes strength and perseverance. so, I DARE YOU ALL TO BE POSITIVE
I dont care what beliefs you may have, this is truly amazing music. You can slander them all you want for having religious themes, it doesnt erase the fact that they're good.

Being as an Ocean is one of the most unique bands I have ever heard. They have so much passion in their music, as well as sometimes unique uses of instruments. They are truly amazing.

Joel is the best human being ever. He's from where I live, and I saw him and his wife at a grocery store. I walked up and was like flipping out and I told him thank you for his music and inspiring me and all he said was "No thank you!" And gave me the biggest hug no hesitation.
I stumbled upon this earlier today and here I am listening to this song again. I also play in the Christian hardcore scene and before the music started I could already tell this was a positive band about love, and it inspires me to see other bands doing that. Thanks men!

Even though this is heavier music or whatever, this song is so calming to listen to. Cool to see a band not getting wrapped up in all the trends and fads of metal or hardcore. This stuff is just real and honost...It's what good music is all about.
