Melamine is very toxic when burned off, so while its a pretty cool technique, its made everything you've fired toxic, and your kiln is contaminated as well. Very interesting and cool idea, but I would recommend a different type of sponge.

0:30辺りのカメラアングル、柔らかな日差しの感じが心地よく引き込まれました。みるみる出来上がって行く形、スポンジが陶器に変わってゆくようすに、終始感嘆の声を漏らしながら最後まで驚きとともに拝見しました。今から他の動画も見てみようと思います。

作っている工程を見ている（聴いている）だけでも楽しいです☺植物が好きなので、スポンジで作る陶器鉢があったら欲しいなと思いました（一輪挿しも素敵です）。7月になったらドワネルさんへ作品を見に行きます！
Am I the only one that thinks that the sponge shown and the sponge for the sculpting is different? The first sponge shown is flexible. The sponge being worked on sounds like the dry sponge. Nevertheless very creative and an amazing result
Both sponges are same. I use melamine foam.
Melamine foam absorbs clay, and I dry it.
Dried enough, I burn it.
Melamine foam burnt out, and ceramics are remains.

I was wondering about the melamine sponge work. Do you bisque fire and still have filler remnants? And then what temp do you final fire? The video shows just a quick emersion in the watery slip. Do you dry and dip more time or is the thicness durable after one submersion? Thanks bill@@kanauedaceramicart

Probably depends on the size of the pores, right? And this depends on the original sponge pore sizes..some samples had big pores like pumice stone, and some had pretty small ones. Interesting technique!

Of course we dont know what kind of clay is used either, isbit possible tobtrll us?
Isnt it quicker to make on a wheel? Theyre so small and quickly made. Seems they're fired only to 700°? Did I get that right?
So still poreous and only good for dried flowers, especially if you can rub them with shaving paper.
Its all only a guess, english translation please would help a lot, if possible that is.... Is this Japanese? Corean?

スポンジに泥を染み込ませて焼くと、スポンジは焼き飛んでなくなり
スポンジの質感の泥だけが陶となって残ります。

焼成時は匂いがしますが、夜間の不在時に自動焼成しています。意見をありがとうございます。調べてみます。
スポンジの焼成は、 電気窯の配線に影響あると、思います。
Firing in electrical wire, chemical effect will shorten the life of wiring.
