- Europe's biggest airline, Ryanair, has revealed after tax profits of €663 million ($737 million) for the three months till the end of June 2023.
The figure is higher than the company's profits pre-pandemic, for the same period.
It follows the likes of easyJet also posting profits of $263 million last week.
However, Ryanair has had to reduce passenger forecasts for the rest of the year due to production delays of new planes by Boeing.

The airline people seem to love to hate is exceptionally good at what it does.
You can say whatever you want, but to someone travelling on a squeezed budget, like us from south America, that's a great option. You just need to remember you get what you pay.
don't know about Europe but airlines here too are making big profits , it doesnt show that consumers are spending, it shows inflated prices , if you have 10 passengers pre covid at $100 vs 2 passengers at $500 post covid you cant say it shows consumers spending , it shows corporate greed through inflated pricing , artificial higher demand through less flights/cancellations
Never in the sky of budget airlines was so much earned from so many for so little.
Does anyone know how I could file a formal complaint against Ryanair? İt seems difficult to complain as they seem to be keeping their complaints department pretty hidden
737 profit for flying Boeing 737
yes! Greetings from Poland

BBC = liars.
That tells me they are overcharging their customers.
Er, they have some of the lowest air fares on the planet. It’s driven by exceptional economies of scale.
Makes you wonder why the UK gave £600 million to them of taxpayers cash. They had only 3 billion euros in the bank at the time. I wonder if they will pay the 600 million back as their profits are so good.
RyanAir's main business is NOT people taking breaks. It is bread and butter stuff. We flew back from Slovakia via train and then from Budapest-Bournemouth in May, Tánička flew back a month later (She has work commitments) She will be coming back again in September and we shall be flying Sodding Stansted to Bratislava for the Winter in October. For Tánička and I, £7.99 each .... and then a (superlative adjective of your choice) FORTUNE for cases. This is not taking a break. Many people on the Budapest run are Hungarians who work in Britain but go home to hearth and home, for weddings .... and sadly, for funerals, a few times a year. (This is not "getting away for a break") The same applies to the Bratislava run. These flights are full of Hungarians and Slovaks. The same applies to and from the several places in Poland. I spent a couple of hours at Stansted with a Slovene who has specialist nursing skills and works in a specialist nursing home in Britain but returns home to Slovenija for a week every five weeks or so. He wasn't on my flight. He had got the best deal to Venice rather than Ljubljana this trip and then coach home. Again, he is not taking a "break" as such. The exceptions are, possibly, the hen/stag flights to and from Tallinn and Prague. As for the Western European flights many of the passengers are on business or on a visit to their second home in the Dordogne (not breaks that cost a lot)
If you want to know of my interest in Slovakia, it is moja milovaná (my beloved) and the added bonus is this ! th-cam.com/video/Uz_-NiRhbmQ/w-d-xo.html There is a greater concentration of hrady chátrajúce (castles crumbling) in Slovakia than anywhere else in the World. You may wish to lower the volume on the music.
Všetko najlepšie prajeme. (All the best wish we.)
Ryanair will keep claiming tax breaks from public monies 😂🤦
After tax? What tax?
Now listen to one song,
'Paul McCartney & Wings - Jet'
Law should somehow force such air companies to invest into a railway branch

easyJet cancelled my flight, I had to book taxis, hotel, and new flight with British airlines myself. No compensation for anything as this cancellation wasn't covered according to T&C . Well done great profit guys!!!!
What's EasyJet got to do with this?
Clearly you didn't watch this video. They prised easyJet profits as well
@@mynewhobby6323 You need to fly Ryanair, the compensate you for delays over one hour and provide hotel and re booking on next earliest flight.
Ryanair, they fly you to where it burns
$737 million in profits for one quarter, and they pay their flight attendants starvation wages. Shame.
Can't the flight attendants just quit if it's so bad?
Nobody forces them to work there

Ryanair is ordering over 400 aircraft, already purchased about 10 737's and plan to purchase most of them 737 maxes and possibly other aircraft.
But yet the service you receive can be rude.
the stock went down 9% today.
This doesn’t surprise me as they have a 25 minute turn around so your getting on to a plane that has dirty tables and floor they are constantly running out of food etc on the plane . Absolutely disgusting and the fares are still high
Standing room only.😂
Another example of how providing an unbelievabley bad service can yield massive profits just like the banks.
Why do we stand for this 🤷♂️
They still owe me a refund for a cancelled flight during the lockdown in April 2020.
Oh look it's the Jab N go advert company
Flew with Ryanair once…it was abysmal. So unbelievably poor it was laughable.
All about 737.
Their fleet only consists in Being 737
For
737 millions 😂😂😂
sorry to my British friends, it’s my fellow Americans flying including myself. I’ll be in the UK for the next month. I’m hoping to hit up as many small businesses as possible and support them. I encouraged my friends to do the same.
that too when bbc flying frequently for free
But noone has answered the question who tf is Ryan yet.
He's the owner
The founder Tony Ryan
@@ZafiraSteve he had a complication with the jab apparently ?
And Ryanair still pay their staff like peasants
*And yet they can't manage to hire pilots able to land properly.*
Now you're talking, I've experienced one nasty rough landing at London from Frankfurt. It's a trademark, sign of the times.
I'd like to believe this is someone at the BBC giving Ryanair a well-needed kick up the butt regarding evacuating holidaymakers from the Greek islands due to wildfires.
leave them there its no loss and kick mr Ryan to death 2 big problems sorted in one thank you please vote for me at coming general election my solution is the iron fist
Well at least we know poor people do have money.

The Japanese government has a Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary named Seiji Kihara. His wife had previously been interviewed as a material witness in a murder case. However, the female detective assigned to the case was suddenly removed from the case and the investigation headquarters was disbanded. There were suspicions of murder by the wife, but it was ruled a suicide. The result was so bizarre that some have suggested that Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary Seiji Kihara and the Liberal Democratic Party may have exerted pressure on the police. However, the Japanese media did not report the issue at all. We hope that the British Broadcasting Corporation will report the dark side of Japan with justice and journalistic spirit.
