Great video Rebecca! Several surprises here. I was also surprised about the audiobook category, but they probably got it from Audible since Goodreads is owned by Amazon.
You did well, in the face of such desolation. 😆 I've read eight 2024 publications so far and only one of them is nominated, and I'm not voting for that one! I have a copy of Martyr! and am thinking about reading it before the end of round 1, even though I've lost interest in it. I've wanted to read I Cheerfully Refuse since it was released but am waiting for the paperback release in April. As for the rest... ugh. I even find myself hoping that Leigh Bardugo wins, because T.J. Klune winning fantasy would be as much of an insult and an embarrassment as him winning sci-fi was last year. I guess we all know who's going to win fiction. As for the rest… what even are these titles?? I'm so lost.
I checked and I've read 9 books published this year and dnf'd 3 others. Apparently I choose ones that aren't popular xD Leigh Bardugo has a good chance of winning Fantasy. She won it last year with Hell Bent

Thanks Chas! Definitely some surprises this year. You're right that they are pulling data from Audible. I don't know why I didn't think of it xD
I was kind of surprised by how few of these books I had actually read. Around 5 across all the categories
Yeah, I've only read 3 of these, and I've read a decent number of new releases this year
I also only voted in fantasy. I voted for When Among Crows but I know it doesn't have a chance 😅
Nice! I take it you liked that one? I still haven't read it...
