We truly didn't have access nor understand fully, sometimes even the time bby. We grew up in a generation where there was no social media to help us. Ya'll have everything at your fingertips. Plus, when they initially pushed homeschool it was for "weirdos" who were "isolating themselves." I wanted to so bad but I HAD to work.
But I did take them out at least once a month to go to museums, nature walks, the science museum etc. A lot of people that are doing it now are forced because of Covid.

I’ve been homeschooling my daughter since the pandemic started last March 2020 and it has opened my eyes to a lot ... 💫 it is TRUE you are your child’s greatest teacher🗣❤️🧿 And I love how the song “Power” is playing in the background 💫

Nope don’t apologize momma that’s how I feel. Traditional schooling is trying to morph my kids into robots so I’m teaching them trading and encouraging any and all creativity. So much easier now that they meditate on their own. But still

Mrs. Gates 100% understands what schools are. I think I use (on the high end) 1% of what I learned in my bachelor's degree
Absolutely 1% my Bachelor and 10% my Masters. The only thing I got out it is how to Commit and Prioritize.
I homeschool my son's, it is definitely a process lol... Much worth it, and much better than traditional schooling. As you said, you're the best teacher! 💖
How did you start it?
@@SadittyShonnie I removed them from traditional schooling and started ordering curriculum for their grades. Then I applied through the local board of education to be approve by the State... They approved me to homeschool, I've been doing it about 2 years now.

Mines are 3 and 4 but haven’t been enrolled yet and I’m thinking about homeschooling them my 4 year old will be 5 in December and I really don’t want them to go to regular school because they make us give our kids differentvaccines and now that I have gotten older and did research on it I don’t want to get anymore vaccines
@@lifewithshakerra they are 11 and 13, and we definitely don't do vaccines. Traditional schools will try to force it on you, but what a lot of parents don't know is that's your right to refuse vaccines for yourself and your children. I don't put any medicine in my body, and vaccinations also go against our religious preference, so that's another reason I refuse them.
Teach them at home. I wouldn't send them to a traditional school at all... Your children are at the best ages to start at home. If I knew years ago what I do now, my children would've never been in a traditional school.

I was 33 year old when i found out about real estate investing, (stuff they don't teach in school! ) now 34, just got pre approved and looking for a duplex, to rent out 1 side and live in the other (rent free) im in corporate America.. but hey gota start somewhere 🤷🏽♀️
Making those moves in Arkansas myself in the end of the year saving now. You can get a whole house for like 30,000, I’m from Chicago where that same house would be worth up to 200,000

@@kimberlygould8378 start saving lots of money. Don’t waste on thing you don’t need. Discipline your thoughts on not wanting to buy junk food, cloth, etc things that the body and mind desires for pleasure in the moment. Save for the long run and build up your credit in the process

I was my children's first teacher and even when I put them into school, it was the best school I could afford. They never believed their teachers 😂😂 they wound always run it by me first!!! I pray I will be allowed to have a hand in homeschooling my grandchildren. A place where day dreaming isn't stopped, lots of love in the atmosphere and REAL herstory and history is taught. Great job Dreka!!!

I didn’t even know who Kevin Gates is until my 15-year-old daughter just absolutely had to see him in concert for her first concert in Nashville this past weekend. Omg I’m single mom of a 10 and 7 yr old and I’m saving up to do the same thing🙌🏽 I have some money saved to purchase a tiny house on wheels. Once they’re older I’m going to build their own little cabins because i know they’re not going to want to be under me as much 🤣 The goal is to have all the money saved by this time next summer. I already have the land. Just need the house.
Omg you just gave me a great idea on the ladder situation to get to the lofts for my tiny house. I’m changing the design i have on my layout now🤣🤣🤣. I have a pull up and down ladder like the ones you roll up. Your idea is waaay better and adds storage space.

The kids schoolhouse is a DOPE idea! A mini bathroom would have been awesome so they wouldn't have to walk home back and forth whenever they have to go.

I love this ! It’s awesome to see a different perspective about reasoning to home school. I totally agree, I do feel our school system aren’t teaching our children about “real life “ . I didn’t know what a entrepreneur was growing up. I always thought after school you should go off to college graduate, and get a good job in the Corp world . I have a 7 yr old and I’m trying to teach her other ways she can be successful. Thank you for this video it’s so motivating ❤️

I absolutely agree with you Dreka! I will be homeschooling my daughter fulltime taking her out of public all together. I have learned a lot this whole school term virtual learning system. We are our children first teacher and I don't want my children to be used as funding for the school system. That you for inspiring more mothers to teach their children at home.

If her kids are smart and depending on if she wants them to go to college she could just get them ready to pass the tests for the end of the year and they may be able to go to college early. I wish i had that option growing up. I was sick a lot growing up and wish i had that option back then. Stuff has changed.

My two little ones are watching your video with me and they're running around screaming as if the damn school house is in our yard.. 🤣🤣 We homeschool our 7 year old he's been doing this sense Kindergarten. My 4 year old will be too. We're moving them away the virtual public school studies next year they are the worst. They're teaching these kids about WAR II, 5-6 grade shit. My son literally hates it they give him so much home work.
