    Welcome back! Like others have helped you along the way, you have helped me. I've watched all of your etrac videos numerous times, even before I had my Etrac in my hands. Great video, and can't wait for the second part!

      @cutaplug  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So glad the videos have helped. When I first started I always wondered why I wasn't finding deep coins and I wanted to know what a super deep coin sounded like. After many many hours of hunting I learned the signals and started finding deeper coins. Thought maybe the live digs showing those sounds and numbers would help clarify to others so it's awesome to hear you say that. GL and HH =)

    Been using my E-Trac for about a year, I think I've learned the machine pretty well by now. Was toying with the idea of getting a CTX 3030 but decided to purchase 3 new coils for my E-Trac instead (a lot less money). I purchased a 13" Ultimate coil, a 6X8 SEF and a 12X15 SEF. I'm up in northeast PA and still up to our eyeball in snow so testing will have to wait. Love your vids, I think I've seen them all. I'm really happy with this new series you're filming, have had a hard time loading the Andy S. pattern in the past. Looking forward to the next installment.

      Sounds like a smart choice getting the extra coils. never used the 12x15 but curious to see how it does. When the snow melts and you get a chance to hit some low trash parks or something lemme know if you get some deep ones!

    Rusty;
    Welcome back- really missed your videos! I don't have an E Trac detector,but watched your presentation anyway- very well done. I have been using the XP Deus and love it's lightweight wireless design. I have Andy S 's Deus book. This goes into the custom settings and I have barely scratched the surface in customizing that machine. Look forward to your future hunts and videos. Thanks, Fred

      Hey Fred - I've heard great things about the Deus. My E-Trac and 12x13 coil weigh a ton so the Deus sounds pretty good lol Thanks for watching my vids GL and HH!

    Great to see a new video from you, Rusty! I sure have missed your detecting videos, they are some of the best on TH-cam. I hope to see some new videos of your finds soon. Your E-Trac settings are very similar to mine, and I agree with pretty much everything you said. I will be looking forward to parts 2 and 3. Good job!

    I am a new user to the e-trac. My first time using the detector I found a nice 1901 silver dime. Unfortunately that was the only silver I found since. I have about 80 hours on the machine. Most of the places I go have been pounded out over the years. Thanks for the information!!!! My next hunt I will try running the detector in manual sensitivity!!!

    • @cutaplug
      @cutaplug  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Robert congrats on getting an E-Trac it's a great machine! Once you get a few hundred hours on the machine you'll start to really get the hang of it. Those hunted out parks can be a challenge but with the right strategy and patience you can still get silvers out of them. GL on your next hunt =)

    Great to have you back. I was about ready to label you as gone4ever. LOL Goes4ever is the other guy I follow religiously. I like the Andy S but it misses some deep Indian targets because Andy S nulls out the lower FE readings starting at CO30+, The deep Indians tend to dance around on the FE line and stay fairly stable on the CO line so opening this area up keeps these coins screaming out. Also, in your more recent videos I thought I remember you saying you were gravitating toward goes4ever's TTF and moving away from your multi-tone as your preferred setting. What is the reason why you are not using TTF as your preferred choice yet?

    • @cutaplug
      @cutaplug  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ya G4E hasn't posted a vid in a while would be nice to see some from him =) Ya opening up the top part of pattern from around 30 Co up would definitely help with Indians for sure. I just get tired of digging modern trash in that range. If I'm at an old site where there is no modern trash I open the screen up a lot more. As far as TTF it's something I'm using now in conjunction with the Andy S. pattern. I usually start a site with Andy S so I can hear all the different tones and get a good idea of what's in the ground. Then I've been opening up to an almost full open screen TTF until my brain gets tired lol Something I'm still experimenting with and will likely post some more TTF vs Conductive comparisons in the near future.

    Curse you Rusty! Followed your setup and went out. Only had 1/2 hour so walked down the street to an empty field I've hit 10 times with one merc, several tokens, and a handful of old debris. Eneded up with a batch of pennies and my final signal my second merc in the field.
    Curse your black heart Rusty. Now I've got to go back to all my old haunts yet again. (well, curse you but please keep up the great tips and advice).

    Just traded a token for an ETRAC and I'm excited to learn how to use it better. I can find silver, but need to figure out how to find those deeper signals.

      @cutaplug  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ryan Houston Wow must have been one heck of a token! LOL I'd suggest watching some of my older vids from a year ago I did a ton of super deep live digs on silver coins and it will help you to know what the deep stuff looks and sounds like. You have a great machine for finding deep silver. GL and HH =)

    Do you have a favorite large coil for the e-trac? I’ve been running the stock coil but rarely find coins deeper than 6-8”. I’m wanting to try a larger coil like the NEL attack coil but want you opinion before buying. Thanks!

    Rusty, 2 questions, I downloaded the E-Trac Emulator & 61 US Coins zip folder.
    I've tried a number of times to put the US Coins zip folder into the E-Trac Emulator with no luck what might I be doing wrong? I tried dragging it in with no luck.
    Second question, after you place all the ticks on the screen for the Andy S program how do you fill it in? Still a beginner after a year using this machine.
    Wayne,
    The Silver Searcher

    • @cutaplug
      @cutaplug  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      You need to leave the US coins zip file zipped and put it into the following folder - C: drive, Program files, Etracem folder, datazips. Once you put it in datazips folder you can open the emulator and load it. As far as filling in the pattern you just use the same buttons that I used to put the little marks in. Also the manual will show you how.

    • @waynetevlin4082
      @waynetevlin4082 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cutaplug Metal Detecting OK the us coins zip is loaded into the Emulator and working fine.
      I used the same buttons and numbers that you used to put the marks in, now I'm headed to my manual to figure out how to fill in the pattern.
      Thanks for the help.

    Hello, I just bought an Etrac and am in the process of setting it up. Around 5min you cut out where and how you color in the parameters you set. How do I do tjat?

    • @cutaplug
      @cutaplug  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Sean Riner You just use the arrows on the left to select size and then there's a key to add/remove the boxes. The manual will show you how.

    Interesting video . I am in the UK and use similar settings. But try and use as little discrimination as possible. I cant get used to multi as my permissions are highly mineralised and iron infested . Tend to use 4t ferrous/conduct and even 2t with the Minelab coin pattern when things get really bad. Will give manual sens a bash as I usually run auto +3 with the stock coil.And -1 with my 15/12 sef. I like a quiet life lol. All good fun. Going out in the morning a new site around a local Mill. Will try multi as I have mode 4 set up for multi and keep trying it but with the Neil Jones set up out of the Andys manual All the best Dave

    • @cutaplug
      @cutaplug  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Dave thanks for the comment. Ya highly mineralized areas can be really tough to detect. Good luck at the Mill!

    • @davidhopper1087
      @davidhopper1087 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      3 hours hunt Vicky penny,sixpence ,shilling,half penny.i think I will do better with the stock or the 8/6 sef. had it on open screen was like playing a piano .15/12 not for this area. Enjoyed the look out nothing to pin down the mill, I bag seal nowt on it though.Looking forward to your next video. All the best Dave

    • @cutaplug
      @cutaplug  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      david hopper Was there a lot of trash at the site? Was the noise you were getting because of trash or the high mineral soil setting it off? Just curious =)

    • @davidhopper1087
      @davidhopper1087 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      high mineralised soil and Iron infested.On a open screen swinging steady it was like playing a piano the low tones coming through.
      I think my 8/6 sef would of been better than the 15/12 to winkle the good signals out. sens manual max 25.Where we live there where a lot of coal mines, lead mines up to the 70's. My atp used to gb 85 to 90 very high. Cheers Dave

    • @cutaplug
      @cutaplug  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      david hopper Sounds like a challenge. The good thing though is every other detectorist there has to deal with the same problem so you're on equal ground.
