Watching all of her races again, she really takes off when Mike goes right-handed with her in the stretch. If he had done that in the 2010 BCC, she would have won. He waited far too long to switch once he was clear. When he finally did, she took off with that extra burst but it was too late.
BRIECAT WAS AN UNDERATED HORSE AND THE JOCKEY WHO RODE HER WHEN SHE WAS 99 TO 1 AT SANTA ANITA STOPPED HER JUST BEFORE THE FINISH LINE WHEN SHE WAS ABOUT TO WIN. I SAW IT CLEARLY THAT THE JOCKEY CONFUSED THE HORSE AND CAUSED HER TO STOP. HE PULLED UP FIRST THEN PUSHED AND THE HORSE JUST DID WHAT THE JOCKEY CAUSED HER TO DO. IT IS UNFORTUNATE TO STOP A HORSE WHEN THEY ARE IN THEIR PRIME AND TAKING AWAY THEIR VICTORY FOR WHATEVER REASON.
I agree with FoxyCatfish. Briecat is tiny, but all heart!
