As usual another great video Dan, stayed here ourselves in late July for our 40th Anniversary to do Chiltern vineyard tour, fantastic vineyard tour, loved Henley and the site, yes close to the road, did not bother us, lovely helpful wardens, will come again !
Another great video Dan & Angela! We loved the opening sequence, very soothing 😊 the site looks lovely and great to have so much wildlife around. Only 25 channels? 😂 I remember when there were just 3 and you had to get up to change the channel lol All the best, from all of us to all of you ❤👍
A very relaxing start to your break. Looks a very nice site, something about grass pitches that makes a stay feel more relaxing, or is it just me! Looking forward to seeing the rest of your travels. cheers
Nice review....we have just got home after spending a week at Back of Beyond on the Hants /Dorset border - our 2nd visit. Great site with the new Forest on the doorstep. Steve
I really miss our Bailey caravan. I sold it when my husband die of cancer 4 years ago, I wish I’d kept it but really it was too big for me on my own. I’m thinking of getting a Bailey Discovery D4-2
Stayed there last year for a couple nights, Henley is a lovely place. The shower blocks could do with a bit of a makeover I think, old and dated pretty worst for wear. The gate system is another point that needs a re-think too.
Hi Dan - many thanks as ever for great well produced vlog. Question : I have a 2015 VW Touareg V6 3.0L like you but the newer model. It had a Westphalia detachable towbar on it when I bought it . However I can’t find any eyelet to connect breakaway cable. I just loop it over the ball. In the vlog I saw your towbar but couldn’t see where your cable went. Also - did you notice much difference towing the new heavier twin axle after your previous van. My van is around 1500kg MTPLM and tows very well , so much you can’t tell it’s on the back. Will I notice a difference if I get a circa 1800kg+ van Cheers 👍🏻
Hi, Ok il try to answer your questions, here goes. My towbar nativly didnt have a break away cable connection point, i added one with a metal plate between the neck mount for the towbar and the electrics mounting plate. I'd be inclined to ask a Tow bar fitter to add one on for you, but have a look towards the back of the neck housing, you maybe able to add a metal loop in there. Towing the the Touareg, i didint really notice any difference in performance, but a drop in about 3 / 4 MPG towing a 2 tonne van compared to a 1500Kg single axle before. Ironically, the car is happier with a heavier load on the rear, the car is more settled and does not work hard in any way shape or form. You will notice a difference in a heavier van, but tbh, it wont be a bad difference. Hope that helps
Cheers Dan much appreciate your response. Tend to agree with you , when my car is empty and just two of us it’s very “hard” ride and bouncy on 20” tyres , but add the van or throw a few bags of coal in the boot and it’s a great ride .! Other than that find car a great tow car and decent fuel economy for a 3litre. Thanks again Kind regards Howard
Hi Dan, On one of your vlogs, I noticed that you had cleaned the tow ball and then used a scratch pad. What did you use for the cleaning fluid, as it cannot contain oil or grease? Many thanks, and enjoy your trip.
@@TheTrudgians Hi Dan, Thanks; that was quick. My tow ball always has a bit of rust on it, and seeing you clean it first is a great idea. It will make the Alko head more efficient. Have a great time away.
Why do peeps let there dogs run riot constantly barking and yapping it absolutely awful to be fair most owners are reasonably ok but the dogs barking then the owners shouting at them becomes a mare well behaved dogs only please.

Love the fact that your towing cover goes right up over. My 12 year old specialized cover only goes just over the windows.
The engines on that red kite 4.27 were a bit loud! 😂
Lovely video Dan :)
If you visit Henley again try Swiss Farm, much better site, further from the noisy road, closer to the town, much better facilities!

The Discovery range of caravans are amazing. I really rate them

Nice one Dan,we are currently in Brecon where you were not so long ago.just got back from the penderyn distillery 👍
Campo Viejo. Nice 👌
Hi Dan, if you like it there, you will definitely like swiss Farm, which is just down the road
I fell asleep in the sun one year, hadn't realised I was lying with my arm and hand across my chest. Red body with white arm hand patch.

Hey Dan, nothing wrong with doing nothing, l try but struggle to do so 😊
Candle wax is good for towing cover zips

Hi, sure - I use brake cleaner as my cleaning solution. The one i currently use is from Halfords. Hope that helps.

Have you stayed at Hurley Riverside Dan in a similar overall area ?
dan the temp gauge looks loose on the bbq
Great vlog but that road noise is awful, you definitely need to be at the back

If your video was accurate then you are not using the torque wrench correctly.
Hi Noel, can you expand on this as I've just got one and don't want to use in error. Thanks.
