This is for everyone who believes Brandon is correct.
    Romans 16:17-18
I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. @@joecheffo5942Easy. I come from a family of alcoholics. I started drinking very early in age. Drank for well over 15 years before I stopped. I used to drink a 750ml bottle a day, several back to back weeks in a row, not an exaggeration. My temptation, my lust, was alcohol. I couldn’t help that I was raised around it my entire life, or that I was predisposed to become addicted. I went to rehab several times, and at best I would learn to slow down on drinking temporarily. Once I accepted that Jesus Christ was the Father in the flesh and that he died on that cross for our sins, it took me about 2 months to quit cold turkey. I was addicted to sin. My sin with self indulgence in alcohol is no better that Brendan’s sin of laying with man, nor is it better that I look at women with lust than it is that Brandan looks and men with lust. The point of accepting Jesus Christ as your savior is to live as pure of a life as you humanly can through knowing that God is there to protect you, including being protected from temptation. Being gay doesn’t mean eternal damnation, but shamelessly giving into gay desires (or any sexual desires) might, and certainly advocating for it will. I’m not sure how Brandan will be judged, but boy, I nervous for him. May god have mercy on his soul.

When Paul ( mentioning homosexuality) says that it's wrong in the eyes of God he says clearly that in the beginning God's intention when he created man was for him to have a female companion and that anything else besides that it would be a pervertion of God's design.
In the beginning God created man and woman because he had a plan for them and Paul clearly stated that plan.Christ then said "Man will then find a suitable female and leave his father and mother to form a family of his own", that's God's way but this perverted young man wants to change God's ways and original plan to suit his own ways which are motivated by his own feelings and carnal desires!.
The act of homosexuality in itself is perversion and sinful independently on the context which is performed, if this lost gay pastor can not see the difference it is because he is not allowing the word of God to speak😢😢😢

a sinful nature is our identity, Brandan. An identity that God is making new through the process of sanctification. Being white is a part of your identity that God doesn't ask you to change because it's an accidental, amoral quality. Homosexual desires may be a part of your identity, just like heterosexual desires are part of 99% of heterosexual male identity. However, what we do with our desires is the issue. Lustful desires, outside of the bonds of marriage (see Gen. 2:24 for a definition of marriage), and especially physical sexual encounters outside of marriage, are something we are expected to deny. Jesus said, "if your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out!" This is a clear statement prohibiting sexual immorality, regardless of our identity as heterosexual or homosexual. In fact, Brandan, this is a clear example of Jesus commanding us to "deny our identity," when that identity is sinful.

When Brandon's position is stated clearly you can see how frail it is. It is not based on Scripture. He appeals to those with itching ears and man is he a dangerous person to bear the title of Christian. Is he saved? God knows. But he is certainly indulging his sinful passions and claiming that to be a good thing, so I have significant doubts. This phrase people always say “God loves the sinner but hates the sin” is unbiblical. The Bible says “God hates all workers of iniquity” the person, not just the sin. And the deceitful are “abhorrent to Him”. (Psalm 5:5-6). In other words this gay person that twists the Scripture in order to suit his sin, it is deceit and abhorrent to God. He is a worker of iniquity, hated by God, until he repents. If you don’t believe me, you will see just how much God hates people and how abhorrent they are to Him, that He will be able to put them in a fire that burns forever on Judgement Day.

Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but those who sin sexually sin against their own body. This serves as a reminder to honor and respect our bodies as sacred, living in alignment with God’s design and His will for our lives.

The Bible clearly and consistently declares that homosexual activity is a sin (Genesis 19:1-13; Leviticus 18:22; 20:13; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9; 1 Timothy 1:10). God created marriage and sexual relationships to be between one man and one woman: “At the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’” (Matthew 19:4-5). Anything outside of God’s intent and design is sin. The Bible teaches that Christians are to live for God, deny themselves, pick up their cross, and follow Him (Matthew 16:24), including with their sexuality. This disconnect between what the Bible says and what some people feel leads to much controversy, debate, and even hostility.

2 men in the Bible gave their negative opinions on homosexuality. And bear in mind that in the ancient world, homosexuality manifested itself only in pagan temple prostitution, not a living committed relationship between 2 adult consenting adults. This was unheard of in the Iron Age. The first man was an ancient priest in Leviticus who would be shocked to see that in the 21st century people think his words are God's words. This is the same priest who demands blood sacrifice each morning and each evening. He also forbids eating shell fish. The other man was Paul, who was an Orthodox Jew and was taught the words of the first man and carried them forward into Christianity. Neither of them claimed that their words were God speaking. Paul wrote some letters and these became God's word. I think he would also be shocked. This is equivalent to someone sending emails and having these become "God's Word" in a hundred year's time.

Dr. Brown argues in the same way that the slave owners argued that slavery is acceptable to God. He holds his Bible as the Southern Baptist did in the South and says, "the Bible says slave serve your masters." The abolitionist held their Bible and said there is only one law and that is the Law of Love. Just read Charles Finney's theology book and you will see that Brandon is reasoning as Charles Finney. Their are several facts that were not brought up in the arguments. First, the list of sins that are a abomination include having sex with a women during her period. I have never seen a video or anyone who supports this verse. Maybe it was just a matter of cleanliness. The Mosaic Law does not say not to have sex with men. It says don't have sex with men as you have sex with women. Maybe that was because it was considered dirty. Also Paul gives the reason for people doing homosexual acts. God gave them over to homosexuality because they worshiped idols. That supports Brandon's position directly. Why would God give Brandon up to homosexuality if he was raised a Christian and serves as a pastor. On the other hand you could say the Dr. Brown would just apply Romans 9 to Brandon and say that God made all homosexuals to be vessels of destruction In order for him to show his power. This idea was supported by the Slave owners that their are people that God curses and hates and we do not need to apply the "love thy neighbor as thyself" to them.
And finally Jesus says watch out for false prophets... by their fruit you will know them. It was denominations like the Congregationalist(UCC) that freed the slaves, it was the congregationalist(UCC) that led to women having a voice in churches and out society, It was congregational churches that led the civil right movement. And it was the congregationalist(UCC) that had the first gay ordained minister in their church. The Dr. Brown would still have slaves if it was not illegal because he follows his Bible as the Word of God instead of believing that Jesus is the Word of God.

The Bible was created for the people, in a way that it was perfectly written by God to cater for all times, so the premise that the laws are focused on idolatry or paganism is a long shot and as much as I want to be open minded I think that the concept is flawed. I believe the real contention is, for most gays is the idea that "they believe in Christ and trying to follow Christ just like anyone but there feeling of love for same gender becomes a question of morality". So they will try to find a soothing explanation that would make them gay and at the same time acceptable to Christ. The Bible speaks not about against being gay but sexual relationship of the same sex. However it would be hard to love someone in romantic sense and have not sexual experience. That is a very hard situation, that only Christ can deliver you from. An analogy but only for the purpose of demonstration, in the old days there are cannibals who thinks its normal to eat people, and then that cannibal suddenly learnt of Christ and wanted to be Christian. How can he manage to fight his urges in order to be with Christ. Very hard scenario if we put ourselves into there shoes. But the Bible si clear, we know what it means, AND Christ can deliver us from this dilemma if we trust in Him.
