- This Zamperla Thunderbolt custom looping coaster opened in July, 2017 and has a 125 foot (38m) tall vertical lift hill drop that propels it to a top speed of 65 mph (105 km/h). It also has four inversions - a loop, zero-g roll, a dive loop and a corkscrew - as well as a Stengel dive and a pair of ejector airtime hills over its 2,000 foot (610m) circuit.

Noah Beeri Fun fact: the layout for this ride and the original Thunderbolt at Coney was designed in NoLimits 2.
Not surprising, many professional manufacturers use NL2.
loki352 but just to display/render the ride. The actual layout is often designed in other programs, and then imported into NL2 to show it to their customers, because the other programs usually only have very simple graphics, while NL2 looks much better.
crazydud619dx I have seen better stuff designed in NL2 by hobby coaster designers :D

I was amazed at how rough a ride this thing was when I rode it a few years ago... only could stand a handful of rides on it the whole day

@@HondaAccordPerformance give me a break, I want a smooth experience on a steel coaster, I LOVE wooden coasters and can handle anything they throw at me, but this ride here was not fun. I think the rush to build the park hurt this
lewisb73 Eh if you’ve ever been cedar point then Magnum xl2000 is a rough ride by many and steel Millennium Force on paper should be a better ride 93mph and 300 feet tall vs. 70mph and 200 feet tall drop but Force was far too smooth I couldn’t feel anything whereas XL2000 made for a better ride it’s steel and rough.
Rode this roller coaster 1 time during a vacation with my family & it was a pretty fun ride for sure. Though the inversions are pretty rough & the vertical chain lift hill had me feeling nervous from the start but overall it's actually fun!
I love all these dank underground coasters that nobody has heard of!

its not over a pool, the ground is just painted blue. and there are little pools of water next to it so it may look like it’s over water. i just went on it and it didn’t have a pool of water. i’m currently in the parking lot of owa.

Rode this with my friend while my other friends watched from below terrified. It was amazing, the scariest part is going up the top, in the POV you can’t tell that when you are going up you see nothing at all and can’t tell when you are going to plummet down.
Are these Zamperla Thunderbolts any good? The layouts look interesting, and they are visually appealing too.
Nvm what the other guy is talking about I live litterally 3 miles from this park and its a enjoyable coaster and I actually really like the restraints. The restraints on Rollin Thunder are completely different and very comfortable and its a smooth coaster. Its definitly a improvement over what I've heard out of the original at coney.

Mr. Crazy Honestly if I had to choose between vest restraints (such as the ones here) and loose seatbelt straps, I'd definitely choose to ride this.

I liked the moment right before the drop when you realize there is no going back
and also the loops were nice
Oh and not to mention the staff were like the coolest people I've ever met and I don't mean just the staff for the coaster I mean the whole park.

@@TabsLordIt has a single vertical loop, a zero g roll (360 roll), divr loop (like the zero g roll but you dive straight to the ground, and a corkscrew (kind of like a small oblong or circular loop stretched out sideways instead of vertically)
Went on this during spring break and loved it.

Went on a field trip here in 8th grade and was terrified to ride it. My two friends were telling me it’ll be fine. We get on the ride and we start tweaking. We go through all of that as we scream and cry and laugh n crap. We got off the ride and my friend barfed over the railing. One of the most memorable moment of my life.
Damn thats a rough ride! Imagine how much that coaster will be shaking in 5 years!

Well, I just went on this ride yesterday and honestly it wasn’t that shaky at all, it was incredibly fun and I definitely lifted off the seat a good bit towards the end but it was so insanely fun

❤ I just rode this ride twice 6/24/2023 it was very fun and thrilling. I also rode the twister 3 times. This is a very nice and clean park. I wish they had more rollercoasters and thrilling rides.

The worst part of the ride was the chain lift up. Legit thought I was falling backwards lmao.

I went on this yesterday and I gotta say it's a decent coaster. It's a short ride with great elements and pretty good airtime. However, all of that kind of gets ruined by the horrible restraints which always staples your legs down every time you ride, plus the slightly nasty rattle which gave me headaches at times after getting off, which can be partially solved by leaning your head forward off the seat a bit the entire ride.
Overall a decent coaster, definitely the best in the park. It's just not as good as some of the other coasters I've ridden.
This ride was one of the first times i actualy rode a scary ride and i loved it

SkittlesAndStuff its not scary at ALL!! The restraints r just HORRIBLE and SO UNCOMFORTABLE/NOT TIGHT/NOT PROTECTED!! I would never go on this ride again unless they fix the restraints or refurbish the ride. Bc also the roller coaster rattles a LOT

They plan on adding a 100 sq ft waterpark so I say they are expanding quite a bit.

I’ve been on this thing 4 times while on vacation once 3 times back to back once after the water park I ate before hand and was perfectly ok so don’t worry about that and also try to get front seat everything just goes smoother and it will not derail although it feels like it 9/10 ride water park 10/10

This place has like 4 coasters, zamperla custom looping, a wild mouse, a suspended family coaster, and a gravity family coaster. I would love to go here, I guarantee my favorite would be rollin thunder.

My favorite ride at OWA
I don't know if anyone is still watching this, but I'm going to OWA soon and I'm 13 but I really want to ride this thing. Does anyone have any tips for actually riding it and can you tell me how scary it is? I'm such a wimp when it comes to amusement park rides and I feel like if I rode this I could get over my fear.
It’s pretty fun to me. I use to hate rollar coasters but this got me into them. When you ride it, think of how brave you are. That helped me alot. If you have already ridden it, how was it for you? This got me over my fears but it’s still scary, but in a fun way. I’d reccomend start with slow rides and work up to this. It barely even feels like a loop.

The description says it's 125 feet tall and goes 65mph, but it's 114.8ft tall and goes 55 mph. Or is RCDB wrong?

I Unironically was there the same day. Gf and family was working a tent and we went to OWA. The spinner closed because it freaked out

Wow despite the same model at Coney... the water section does fit in with this blue layout! I (personally) hope it will get smoothed out a few years later. It can be a wonderful credit! :-)

Owa is fantastic and in a great location but I'd like to see a 100 foot wooden coaster, a mind bender type coaster, a log flume, a tower drop type ride, a smaller version type coaster like the mine train and a train that encircles the park. there is plenty of land there to make these happen. It seems the water park is currently the main attraction. make this place what it can be.

This one is way better than the one at coney. Also I like the way the restraints are designed. But do not sit of the front, apart from the amount of wind, it also.has a rougher ride, and is in general more uncomfortable. If you ride this sit in the middle it's most comfortable there also, one of the first coasters I've ridden in over 6 years. I am once again an addict.
Also, it's not as bumpy as the clips would lead to believe.
