I think your guard rail art work is a filter system when the larger reservoir drains or fills that stops the old trees and branches entering the pipe work
The most under awe inspiring place I have ever visited, is Moombooldool NSW. Even the name is depressing. Very unusual, but Red and Grey kangaroos sometimes inter breed, and the offspring will have tan, white, grey and red patches of colour on them. I expected Pooncarie to be really arid, quite a surprise. The Pink lakes were a quite a big salt mining effort, which must have been really hard work. The salt lakes fill during winter, and were harvested for salt in summer (oh the horror). The was a light rail connection to the main rail line at the next town, but the light railway did buried under drifting sand.
23 minute mark. I don't know what that installation was, but I'd 99% say given the terrain it's got something to do with floodplain harvesting. Which is the practice of keeping maximum water upstream therefore depriving those down stream of flow.
28:20 I've never seen a squadron of pelicans that size before, but what was the other birds flying with them? Wow that's a hard hit to crack a helmet jeez. Hope he's ok after that. Looked like a pretty good/fun adventure. Cheers 4 sharing sir.
I did forget to ask as I am experimenting tyre choices for big ADV bikes. Just recently mounted MotoZ Tractionators (which are pretty darn good in the dirt) on the Pan America. What tyres are you guys using?
Great video mate! Yeah I've just started this adv thing after coming from road bikes. I've caught myself wound up on routes and gpx files to follow, thanks for showing me you can, just go out there and explore and still have a great ride! Do you listen to music when riding? I'd like set up so I can use uhf for comms but still listen to music......seems there's A LOT to learn! 👍🍻
Perfecting our setup is an ongoing obsession... it never stops! I listen to music on long highway sections. I had UHF for a while but didnt stick with it.
Great trip and good to sit back and listen some Nerb ramblings..Guard Rail Henge maybe ? Anyway Dangalli is awesome weekender for us, I think you went along Tipperary ?
How're you finding that capuride Android Auto screen after a few months of using it? Recommended? I'm using a second phone as my GPS phone, i do find it a bit of a faff to manage two phones sometimes.
It has been really good. Ive been using it for 6 months as a daily driver and it has worked perfectly. However I just got an upgraded one with a dashcam feature. Review in the next fortnight.
@@Nerb1 Coolio, ill watch out for that, My tenere is going great, I've had it on some simple offroad stuff so far. Keen to take it in the rough stuff soon!
I support your view about havnig to pay to camp in NSW. The question I ask......who will check if you did stay ? We were in a similar situation some time ago with a camp site in Kosioscko - we stayed and no one knew any better. Great vid.
Dromaius novaehollandiae the male Emu rears the Chicks i believe, Great to see content again Nerb, enjoyed the journey. Not sure Why Marks AT is a pig in the sand But mine loves it yes they are a hand full.
We did think that at one point, but there was no outlet/inlet pipe. I assume the road has been modified and the spill from the lake no longer goes that way?
Then have user paid facilities... a toilet block with a gold coin donation or coin door lock or scan your credit card at the dunny door. I'd be fine with that. Also consider that we didnt stay there and just not pay... we moved on, like the good people we are ;)
I was going to say “paying to camp” came out of Covid. The government wanted you to book for social distancing reasons and when someone hat to monitor that a wage needed paying. But then the idiot in the red shirt put a aluminium can in the fire thinking it would melt down in that tiny fire over night. That’s why cameras are being put up in parks and vehicle rego’s are being taken. Come on mate how can you let that shit slide let alone film it. Carry your rubbish out
Yeah mate if you've ever had a fire burning river red gum, you'd know that that beer can burnt up to nothing! I actually clean up camp sites and take others rubbish with me when I leave, including whatever is left unburnt in fires places like tin food cans. So nice try being the fire police pal👌
Another awesome adventure Nerb. Cant wait to watch the next 1 👍
Glad to see a new vid/adventure. 👍
Really nice video, Nerb! That is one fantastic country you live in.

Good one Nerb 👍
Fun fact it is the male Emu that raises the babies! Mum lays the eggs and buggars off. #birdnerd
I need to consult before I edit!
High five to Mum!…..”see yah”.. good luck with that😂
Great little trip - definitely like the idea of exploring random areas.
Would be great to join you when you do rides in the future.
It is dad that looks after the chick's, not mum.
@shanemchenery1162 nothing wrong with a bit of general trivia and knowledge. Pull your head in.

I did myself a mischief that's for sure! Torn shoulder tendon but I'll live to crash again😂

Good to see another adventure from you.
But got sea-sick from the camera movement 😢

Im always running a tractionator of some type on the back, but I keep trying different fronts. Last one was a motoz enduro which I liked.

Are you using the 360 cam with connection to the cardo or whatever comms you’re using? I was wondering how good it works

South Australia I won’t mention the peeing incident

Paying for camping was way before covid , also how do you know the can was left behind?

@ yeah some thing everything can go in the fire
ah okay I’ve never had to do it before. He threw the can up the end of the burning log. So the intent was to have the fire take care of it.
@@budget-adventure So you know someone's intent from a 10 sec clip! You might believe in magic.
