Thank you so much for showing us how to use the pasta machine (clay press) properly.... it's been explained in videos I've seen, but never shown....not only am I new to polymer clay, I'm a visual learner. Thank you so much 😊
Hi. Wonderful job! I want to know about the pasta setting every time you put the skinner blend through. Is it from thick to thinner? How thin at the end?
Thank you..if I don't have the pasta machine can I use the yolling tool??and if I want to cover whole the cake with yellow blend colour can I use the rolling tool Two??
Thanks Samantha 😊 Your tip for preventing the piece from stretching the full length of the machine was great. I always struggled with that but now I can fix/prevent it! Brilliant 👍🏼
I want to make a Skinner Blend to cut earrings out of. How do I make the blend small enough to get the dark to light fade in an earring that is like 2 inches long?
Hi, very clearly explained. I do miss the links to the different tutorials you mentioned. Did had a bit of a look around on your channel, but couldn't find them. Can you place them please? Thank you!
They are all there, maybe take another look? They're at the bottom of the description. Samantha is very thorough, I would have been surprised if she'd missed them off 😁
hey! thank you for the clear tutorial. I have an issue with conditioning white translucent clay from premo. I will experience streaks or white patches while trying to condition it. It will eventually get worse over time. Could you please advise on what i can do to reduce or remove them? Thank you!
hi Samantha, I enjoy your videos very much, did I hear you correctly, your pasta machine is 16" wide? who makes it? mine is an Imperia (from Italy) and it's 5.5" wide!
Question? On the 1st example of the skinner blends you started on your thickest setting and then went to your second setting and so on and said to follow the same no matter what skinner blend, but when you did the other skinner blend you stayed on the thickest setting all the way, Ae we suppose to go to the second setting? Maybe that's why my skinner blend becomes narrower because I kept it on the thickest setting. Need some clarification.
As far as settings go that can change with each blend. It's the type of direction your running it through the machine on that you need to replicate exactly each time. Changing settings is perfectly fine.
Jessama Tutorials sorry for my bad english, I mean if you can blend 2 or 3 different brand of clay in one skinnerblend, like you put Red Premo and White Kato together🤩 to get a pink color
Love this I learned soooo much but you didnt say anything about the thickness of the pasta machine, like does it matter what numbers you use on the machine? thanks so much :)
I store it in a air tight zip lock bag. Test the bag first to see if the brand of bag is compatible with the clay. To do that place a small piece of clay onto the bag and leave it for about a month. If you can remove the clay from the bag with out the two sticking together or having melted into each other, the bag is okay to use as storage.
I used a Jamie Oliver pasta machine. I may have said in the tutorial that the machine was 18inches or 16inches, but it's that in cm not inches. Sorry. Slip of the tongue.
Hey Sam, thanks so much for this, it answers a LOT of questions I had about pasta machines and skinner blends. Question: Is it still called a "Skinner Blend" when the gradient is incomplete (like you were describing early in the rainbow blend)?
I sell the tutorial right here. www.etsy.com/au/listing/553335820/cherry-blossom-necklace-video-tutorial?ga_search_query=cherry%2Bblossom&ref=shop_items_search_1
I love that you start out by cutting the triangles, instead of just approximating them So good to know.

As I am new to clay work, I found this very use full. Thank you.
I'm beginning to think I may be able to do this with such detailed tutorials. Thank you, Now I an going to take a look to what is next.
Hi. Wonderful job! I want to know about the pasta setting every time you put the skinner blend through. Is it from thick to thinner? How thin at the end?
I use my thickest setting and if the blend stretches too long for that setting I'll go down to my middle setting.
@@JessamaTutorials Thank you so much for the information!
Thanks Samantha 😻
Learnt soon much, thank you from a beginner.
Amazing!
Thanks for this. I have a book with vague instructions, but this is far more useful!
Thank you..if I don't have the pasta machine can I use the yolling tool??and if I want to cover whole the cake with yellow blend colour can I use the rolling tool Two??
Thank you. The tutorial was very clear and I enjoyed watching it.
Thanks Samantha 😊

Grazie mille per questo tutorial spiegato davvero bene !!!!
Very informative. Thank you. But I almost always encounter my Atlas 180 not being wide enough.
This is very helpful, thank you!! 🌺🌺 i only have roller, not pasta machine...will this work to create blended slab?
Yes. It will take a little longer, but it will work.
This was extremely helpful, thank you so much!
Wonderful blends, thank you for your clear explanation
Thank you so much for sharing. Your videos are great. Well produced and super informative, what your doing is fantastic, keep it up!
Great instruction!! TFS

What company makes a pasta machine with a 16" roller? I had no idea!
I misspoke in this video. I was supposed to say 16cm.
hey! thank you for the clear tutorial. I have an issue with conditioning white translucent clay from premo. I will experience streaks or white patches while trying to condition it. It will eventually get worse over time. Could you please advise on what i can do to reduce or remove them? Thank you!
Your tutorial goes into great detail, something that is lacking when other people show how to do a Skinner blend. Well Done!
Wonderful!!!😁🌹🌹Thank you!!!!!
hi Samantha, I enjoy your videos very much, did I hear you correctly, your pasta machine is 16" wide? who makes it? mine is an Imperia (from Italy) and it's 5.5" wide!
Slip of the tongue. It's 16cm not 16 inch. Sorry about that.
Funny, I had that thought, still that’s 6.4”, bigger than mine!
Wow where did you get that pasta machine?❤️
Sorry. Slip of the tongue. It's 18cm not 18 inches.

Do you always use the same clay brand in a skinnerblend
No. You can use any brand you want to make a skinner blend. :D
Jessama Tutorials sorry for my bad english, I mean if you can blend 2 or 3 different brand of clay in one skinnerblend, like you put Red Premo and White Kato together🤩 to get a pink color
Oh okay. Yes. You can combine different brands of clay into a skinner blend.
Love this I learned soooo much but you didnt say anything about the thickness of the pasta machine, like does it matter what numbers you use on the machine? thanks so much :)
It doesn't matter what setting you use. Any will work.
I can't find your cutters online. How do we get these?
I do still sell them on my shop. I've just got them off the shop at the moment due to me having to look after a sick family member.
Wonderful. You've inspired me to start working with clay. How do you store unused single color clay ? Is it important to be air tight ?
I store it in a air tight zip lock bag. Test the bag first to see if the brand of bag is compatible with the clay. To do that place a small piece of clay onto the bag and leave it for about a month. If you can remove the clay from the bag with out the two sticking together or having melted into each other, the bag is okay to use as storage.
@@JessamaTutorials what brand do you use then?
What brand of clay are you using here?
I'm using Premo Sculpey.
@Samantha, width of pasta machine is not 18 inches! How about 180 cm?
No. Slip of the tongue. It's 18cm not 18inches.
@@JessamaTutorials i meant 180 mm anyway. Slip of the units.
Gracias 💯💞🇪🇦

I do think it's still called a skinner blend.
Good job! It is amazing :)
are the beginning squares you cut out on the thickest setting on the pasta machine?
Yes.
