My washer and dryer are in my basement also,so everytime I start a load,I stay downstairs and declutter for a half hour until the load can go into the dryer and I can start another load.If I’m on a roll,I’ll stay downstairs and work more, but otherwise, thirty minutes makes a difference!🙌🏻 (My basement is SUPER organized but at 66 years old, need to downsize sooooooo much)
Yes! Currently have been using my dining room as a place to sort stuff I had drug out of closets. Oh my word the dining room looks like a tornado hit it. Ripple effect as I move stuff around and then take out more to make room for other stuff. Quite overwhelming! You got a lot done doing small chunks! ❤❤❤❤❤
@@sandiekirkland4501 that's a great idea! I'll definitely look into that for our summer clothes. The blankets I'm keeping though get used on a regular basis so it makes more sense to keep in the bins for us. Thanks for the tip😊
@@homesteadingdreams8046Assessing how much of your stored food your family could eat before it goes bad and donating extra would be a great way to reclaim more storage space. Even food past best before dates still good to eat can be given in buy nothing groups. My community really appreciates gifts of food

Definitely a great idea! I cannot wait until I get everything organized..... someday it'll happen 😭
Your idea is perfect, be brutal about getting rid of a lot from the basement!
Yes! I'm so tired of it!!

Definitely gets worse when you first start but it will get easier as you get things out of the house! Good luck❤️
Family Room looks sweet and cozy.
Thank you, I plan on moving some things around soon for Christmas ❤️
Space bags are great for storing out of season clothes and bedding. They take up much less room than the bins.

At 8:45,did you donate the gray top sheet to the bed?😳
Yes I did, my family is soooo weird! They won't use the top sheet! I'm the only one who can't sleep without it! Including my husband 😭
@@homesteadingdreams8046 Oh well at least it was intentional. I thought I saw it in the original jumble of the unmade bed,and then it was gone!🤭
I know you're working on this, but I wouldn't buy many groceries in order to thin out the food in the basement.
Exactly that's what I'm doing, but I can't just eat from the pantry, too many canned items! Lol
@@homesteadingdreams8046 Lol.

Let me know if you have a place in your home that you just cant get under control? It's so frustrating!
I think the problem is that you work too much!
Only another 20 years to go......almost done 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
