This game looks rough, but also amazing. My only hope is that in the full release it's scaled down more. No reason to sell the cat food for 100 and buy it for 50. You could sell it for 10 and buy it for 5. Just another case of big number go brrr. I've always disliked games that start with the numbers in the hundreds or thousands, when it doesn't make sense for it to be. Plenty of RPGs and such are like "do 1000 damage off the get but enemys have 10000 hp off the get", it just scales badly in the late game. Numbers get so big you don't even know what the number is anymore.
This game was fun to play, but definitely needs more work. I played through the demo and prologue and got robbed both times. So you were just unlucky. Since you had the security things at the door they go off when a thief leaves. And the thief does have an animation showing they are pocketing something also.
